In today's podcast we talk about the Virginia Housing Choice Voucher Program otherwise known as (SECTION 8). Landlords can get paid direct deposit from the government and tenants can get 50-75% of their rent paid for. We walk through all the requirements for both landlords and tenants and how you can take advantage of this housing affordability program. FYI: all landlords with 4 or more rentals are REQUIRED as of 2020 to have their home approved for vouchers. all future landlords with even 1 rental will most likely be required to be approved soon very soon (within 1-3 yrs). Visit http://www.ewg.org/tapwater Type in your zipcode and find out what is in your water today This non profit organization which is world wide stands for Environmental Working Group is constantly working to protect our health exposing contaminates in our water and other things. From this site you can report the contaminants but mostly you need to find out what they are, what they cause and how to remove them. It lists which item can be removed by a simple carbon block water filter and which ones require a reverse osmosis water filter.' IF you were to do ONE THING right now that could improve your health it would be going out and buying a carbon block water filter OR a carbon water filter that goes on water bottles. The most important thing you can do is have an air quality test, whether you are a renter, homeowner or commercial business leasee or owner. Compared to the years of health risks and complications the cost of doing a single test is ridiculously low (like $135 or less). If you are not aware of how mold gets into your home here are some common ways: Recent severe storm (wind and rain), Construction defects, Poor filtration in HVAC, Plumbing problems, Improper insulation, ventilation or grading, Basement floods or leaks, Roof /ceiling leaks, through the air and more. Fred Nat Baseball Stadium, located at 42 Jackie Robinson Way in Fredericksburg, Virginia has a ton of history for such a new state of the art stadium, we talk about everything in today's podcast. Another little interesting factoid, is that I have purchased the entire Virtual Land above this stadium to use AR/VR for advertising purposes and renting that virtual land out to businesses. Fred Nat Stadium is open, holds 5,000 people and you can rent out the luxury suites for business, personal, birthdays or whatever (costs $1,450/night) if you want to do that. This is considered a little league stadium but also the home of Washington Nationals and where they practice when they need more room.
