Time is the Seed You Sow, Your Purpose is the Harvest ft. Joel Chamberlain

8/12/2024
We all have been given a finite amount of time on this earth. How can you take the time to enrich the community and expand your purpose? That's one of the questions I will answer in this conversation with Joel Chamberlain, a loving husband and father and successful accountant-turned-entrepreneur. From a young age, Joel’s grandfather instilled a foundation of faith. Despite growing up in challenging circumstances, Joel maintained a powerful vision by focusing on the positive influences of his grandparents. Joel quickly learned to be intentional with his time, giving him an acute understanding of its value. His insightful wisdom on using time intentionally translates to everything Joel set his mind to, including his family and business. Joel discusses a point in his life when his time was unbalanced, consumed by work rather than his faith and family. Through this adversity, Joel sought the help of wise members of his community to help restore balance and intentionality to his time. This community support was instrumental in his transformation from an unbalanced life to a purpose-fulfilling balance. His openness to change and his determination to pursue his purpose is a powerful story of triumph over blame and shame. Now, as a former board member of Rethreaded, Joel shares his guidance and wisdom in this transformative episode of Rethreading Lives. (Bonus) Episode: Purpose by Design: Unlocking the God-Given GENIUS Within All of Us ft.Calvin Thompson

5/27/2024
Have you ever thought that you were uniquely designed and developed for a singular, specific purpose? Has anyone ever called you a genius just because you exist? That’s precisely what Calvin Thompson (Coach Cal) discusses in this riveting episode of Rethreading Lives. Coach Cal is the Founder and CEO of Kingdom Genius, an organization dedicated to helping people find and fulfill their purpose. Coach Cal summarizes his perspective in this acronym, “Everybody is a GENIUS because they are Gifted, Empowered, Noble, Intelligent, Unique, and Smart.” As a child, Coach Cal was the only member of his family with no natural musical talent. In many ways, this made Cal feel inferior, as if God had nothing for him. This experience sparked a passion for developing spiritual intelligence in others and helping them create a vision for fulfilling their purpose. At 13, Cal was an avid entrepreneur who sustained himself with a litany of odd jobs for his neighbors, friends, and family. Since then, Coach Cal fostered his entrepreneurial spirit and continued living out his purpose and vision to help others find their unique calling. Coach Cal shares his inspirational methods of helping those in his community hold a vision for their unique gifts and use their time wisely to work toward their God-given purpose. This is one episode you may want to revisit over and over because of its rich and impactful message. --- Show Notes: 0:05 - 2:19 Introduction of Coach Cal. 2:20 - 4:04 Coach Cal's background. 4:05 - 6:34 Intersecting passion and proficiency, spiritual identity versus formation. 6:35 - 11:08 Avoiding comparison, finding identity and potential through self-talk frameworks. 11:09 - 14:59 The role of community in supporting one's purpose. 15:00 - 16:20 Closing thoughts on purpose. 17:41 - 19:00 Recognizing the importance of personal growth and understanding one's own potential. 19:01 - 21:00 Full circle moments. 25:01 - 27:00 Moving past limitations and embracing new opportunities. 55:01 - 57:00 Recognizing God's support through challenges and how faith plays a role. --- Checkout Coach Cal's Stuff: Website: https://kingdomgpsroadmap.com/optin YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@Coach-Cal Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/coach.calthompson/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/coach.calthompson/ About Coach Cal: Coach Cal has created seven businesses and has been a successful entrepreneur for more than 30 years.
