A Promise Before Sunset

Maggie Ellison comes to Copper Springs to settle her late uncle's small ranch and decide whether to sell it before sunset, when the final papers must be signed. Wade Harlan is the neighboring rancher who promised Maggie's uncle he would keep the place safe until she came. He has done exactly that, quietly and faithfully, asking nothing in return. As Maggie and Wade spend one golden day together walking the ranch, reading old letters, and watching the light fall across the hills, Maggie begins to wonder if the place she came to leave behind may be the home her heart has needed all along.
