The Genesis Cipher

Justice in the Tithe is a matter of pure mathematics. But what happens when the equation is a lie? Arbiter Aria Apex is the living embodiment of perfection. Operating with a god-tier, zero-Debt signature, she serves as the ultimate executioner for a continent-spanning LitRPG network that penalizes humanity’s greatest flaw: emotion. In a grim world where affection, grief, and love generate fatal mathematical Debt, Aria's pristine ledger makes her untouchable. Then she is sent to the rotting river settlement of Embersmouth to liquidate a systemic anomaly. Echo Eclipse is a debtor of the most dangerous kind—a fugitive who weaponizes intimacy. By forging deep romantic bonds, Echo artificially spikes the Debt of her victims until the automated system erases them, leaving her to vanish in the digital wreckage. But when the executioner finally meets the parasite, Aria is presented not with a desperate plea for mercy, but with an ancient, crumbling cipher. It holds a truth so devastating it threatens to dismantle the very foundation of her reality. The untouchable ruling class isn't pure; they are invisibly siphoning their sins onto the backs of the terrified, starving masses. In The Genesis Cipher, the exhilarating third volume of The Ledger Arithmetic series, Joseph Pepe weaves a masterful tale of psychological horror, dark romance, and grimdark fantasy. When the numbers shatter, an Arbiter must choose between the comforting lie of the law and the agonizing burden of a stolen world. Duration - 8h 46m. Author - Joseph Pepe. Narrator - Joseph Pepe.
