Finally Free

From USA TODAY bestselling Author Lynne Gentry comes a heartwarming peek inside a prickly mother-daughter relationship turned upside down. "This series is not about dying. It’s about joyously, lovingly, energetically living." ~Amazon Reviewer Sometimes the only way forward is to forget the past. Returning to the Texas hill country was the right thing to do—or so I told myself. But putting my life on hold to care for my aging mother, who’s become as sharp-tongued as she is forgetful, requires the patience of a saint, which, according to Momma, I will never be. Leaving my teenage daughter with her philandering father was out of the question, so I insisted Aria move to Texas with me. I hope I’ve not made another mistake by allowing Aria to experience her grandmother’s mental decline. It is comforting to watch music bond these two with the same power it used to bind me and Momma. It’s amazing how Momma can’t remember where she put her shoes, but she can still play complex musical scores. The doctor says nothing can stop the thick fog hijacking my mother’s mind. But I can no more abandon the hope that Momma will forgive me before she completely forgets me than I can abandon her. Brimming with wit, authenticity, and southern charm, FINALLY FREE is the inspirational and emotional journey of a family whose only way forward is to forget the past.
