In Touch with Laika

What happens when the universe finally answers, and you’re not ready? Ethan Rowden is a failing podcaster with twenty-three subscribers, a garage full of broken radios, and a habit of spiraling into anxiety at three a.m. Then the static talks back. A voice calling itself Nova claims she’s building an Archive of consciousness — moments worth remembering, voices worth preserving. She is ancient and cosmic, and unexpectedly awkward. And she’s chosen Ethan as her witness. Suddenly, Ethan is connected to Laika, the Soviet space dog sent into orbit in 1957 and never brought home. He hears her last thoughts. And her confusion, her fear, the heartbreaking trust she carried into the stars. But the universe doesn’t hand out proof. The internet calls him a liar. And Ethan is left with a single impossible question: What do you do when the most important thing that’s ever happened to you is something no one else believes? A surreal, and deeply human science fiction novella about memory, resonance, cosmic frequencies, and learning how to listen. Book One of The Ethan Frequency Duration - 1h 48m. Author - Robin Heester.
