Russian for Beginners

RUSSIAN LANGUAGE FOR BEGINNERS is a comprehensive two-volume textbook designed to help you learn to speak, read and write in Russian. It is available in three formats: a printed book, an e-book and an audiobook. The printed book and the e-book versions focus on learning to read and write in Russian, while the audiobook is an excellent resource for improving listening comprehension and learning correct pronunciation. For the best learning experience, we recommend using the printed book in combination with the audiobook. This textbook uses a highly effective method of language teaching that is geared towards native speakers of English. Where possible, grammar and vocabulary are explained through analogies and comparisons with the English language, and etymology is widely used as a mnemonic device to aid memorisation. The exercises included in this book will not only help you use new words and grammatical constructions but also introduce information about Russian culture and the city of Moscow. Most of the exercises are accompanied by answer keys for self-checking. The lexical and grammatical elements included have been carefully selected to meet the requirements of the A1 level (the first level of Russian in the Common European Framework). Duration - 7h 3m. Author - Marika Kalyuga. Narrator - Esmeralda Tintner. Published Date - Wednesday, 14 January 2026. Copyright - © 2026 Marika Kalyuga ©.
