The crew will venture around the Moon aboard the Orion spacecraft and launch atop NASA’s powerful SLS (Space Launch System) rocket from Launch Pad 39B at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The mission will test and check out all of Orion’s life supporting systems in the deep space environment before NASA flies Artemis missions to the surface of the Moon.
