Life and Death: The Joy Of Healing The Heart & Soul

9/25/2023
— Is it possible that you could have prevented your father's death if you had saved him? In spite of the fact that this was what he wanted, wasn't that difficult? ” When we die, how do we want others to remember us? In our final days, how do we want to be treated? Death is nothing new to Yvonne Caputo. In her early thirties, she was able to name seventeen family members and friends who had passed away. Claude and his son Jimmy, both dead by suicide, her cousin Alan, murdered in Central Park, and her brother Mark, killed in a car accident, were among those who died. Each of these deaths left her with many questions, the most important of which was: Why don’t we talk about the end of life before the end of life? While working in a retirement community, Yvonne learned about the Five Wishes®, a legal document that expresses a person’s end-of-life wishes beyond an advance directive. She decided to broach this difficult subject with her dad. What would the outcome of discussing such a dark subject be? Yvonne Caputo’s first book, Flying with Dad, was about her father’s experiences in World War II. But this wasn’t what readers focused their questions on. Instead, they asked her about how she and her dad talked about what he wanted for his end-of-life experiences, how she walked him through his Five Wishes document and how, when the day came, she stopped the paramedics from reviving him. In Dying with Dad, Yvonne shares the joy she felt when her father died on his terms. And the reason she knew what those terms were was because they had had a heart-to-heart conversation about it before it was too late. Dying with Dad inspires us to think about meaningful discussions for when we or our loved ones are aging or preparing for death. Discussions about death and grief, but also about crossing the finish line joyfully and triumphantly. You can have the conversations that matter, before it’s too late. Valeria interviews Yvonne Caputo — She is the author of Flying with Dad: A Daughter. A Father. And the Hidden Gifts in His Stories from WWII and Dying with Dad: Tough Talks for Easier Endings. Yvonne Caputo is also a psychotherapist, corporate trainer, a consultant, and she has been a teacher and the head of a human resource department in a retirement community. She has a master’s degree in education and clinical psychology. Resolution for Chronic Health Issues with Neural Retraining

9/25/2023
— Through Patti’s own personal journey, she has developed a unique approach to helping people regain their mental and physical health. There is a tendency for many of us to take life a little too seriously. Our tendency is to push ourselves too hard, believing that once we gain that new job, buy that bigger house, let go of those extra fifteen pounds, or finally end our physical pain, we will be happy. We all want new things in our lives, but what if we could obtain them by being fully grateful for what we already have? Patti believes happiness is a choice, rather than a destination. It might even be a behavior. The choices we make each day determine how we feel and behave. Our beautiful human experience includes both moving mountains and resting and recovering one day at a time. Do you dream of having all the health, happiness, and abundance you have always wanted? Would you like to gain more emotional intelligence and gain more control over your life? This episode will inspire you reflect and take action toward your wellness and greatness! Valeria interviews Patti Norris — She is a Registered Massage Therapist, Certified Life Coach, and Faster EFT Practitioner specializing in the resolution of anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. Through her own journey with anxiety, depression, and chronic pain along with treating hundreds of patients throughout her career with chronic stress-induced illness, Patti Woodworth-Norris realized the profound impact that stress physiology has on all aspects of health. By rewiring her brain and rebalancing her nervous system, she was able to free herself from anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and many other physical symptoms and stress patterns. She has since helped many clients do the same with diverse health issues, traumas, and self-sabotaging patterns. Patti is now a firm believer that everyone with a chronic health issue will benefit from neural retraining, and in many cases, it is critical to healing. Quality Of Life Means Quality Of Love Life Too: Healing From Medically-Induced Menopause

9/25/2023
— “My oncologist talked me through all of my options and most importantly, he listened. He understood that quality of life means quality of my love life too. My sex life, my family life, my married life, my hot and sexy goddess life—all of it mattered. Not just being alive, which of course I am lucky to be. But there’s more to it than just bare-bones survival.” Valeria interviews Anna Sullivan — She is a writer, speaker, and a licensed mental health therapist. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Salon, HuffPost, Insider, and Zibby Magazine, among other publications. In 2017, at 37 years old, Anna was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer and immediately began a targeted hormone therapy to wipe out the estrogen in her body and lower the risk of recurrence. Within days, she found herself in premature medical menopause. While her doctors had prepared her for the mastectomy, Anna felt ill-prepared for the plethora of menopausal symptoms she quickly began to experience. She penned a personal essay about her experience for the HuffPost Personal, which went viral. Blown away by the response she received from readers, she realized many women continue to suffer the taboo symptoms of menopause. Anna has been a guest on the Tamron Hall Show, and radio shows. She is currently writing a book. “This book is about how I came to accept my body both as a vessel that keeps me alive and one that is capable of deep pleasure. At times I believed it was a tradeoff.” To learn more about Anna Sullivan and her work, please visit: annasullivan.net — This podcast is a quest for well-being, a quest for a meaningful life through the exploration of fundamental truths, enlightening ideas, insights on physical, mental, and spiritual health. Healing With Hypnosis: A Natural Process

9/9/2023
— This is how you envision hypnosis, isn’t it? In the beginning, I felt the same way. Since then, I have been practicing psychotherapy and hypnotherapy, and I can tell you that hypnosis is a natural process. You are in a trance every day. Engrossed in your work, falling asleep, waking up, and taking a bath. A scientifically based method of treatment, hypnosis has been recognized by the "Scientific Advisory Board for Psychotherapy" since 2006. Hypnosis addressees your issue quickly, effectively, and cause-oriented by positively occupying the inner evaluations of your subconscious. There can only be change where it is needed. One of the most radical things you can do is to give up a fear or a vice. It is important that you recognize your strengths and potentials and work to improve them. Valeria interviews Bernhard Tewes — He is a licensed hypnotherapist, praxis owner, and keynote speaker on hypnosis from Berlin. Bernhard is a certified member of National Guild of Hypnotists, and the German Alliance of Hypnotherapists. Cycle Breakers And Family Liberators: Two Sisters With A Mission To Heal

9/2/2023
— As they were finalizing their manuscript, Ronni’s daughter sent them a screengrab of an Instagram post from “jabbieapp” that read: “Never underestimate a cycle breaker. Not only did they experience years of generational trauma but they stood in the face of the trauma and fought to say, “This ends with me.” This is brave. This is powerful. This comes at a significant cost. Never underestimate a cycle breaker. Ronni and Jennie read it, and cried. A few weeks later, Ronni found a post on Instagram from Xavier Dagba and sent it to Jennie: “All this time you thought you were nothing but the black sheep of your lineage, whereas you were being initiated to be their liberator. Healing looks good on you. Keep going. Jennie cried, and something in her shifted. These two amazing sisters started their journey with a sincere desire to spare their children the pain they had endured—to break the intergenerational cycle of abuse and addiction so that they could live beautiful lives. They also hoped that they could reparent themselves and live beautiful lives of their own. And they did, if imperfectly. Though they are still learning and growing, Ronni and Jennie have each created something well beyond what we could have imagined at the beginning of this ride. This means they are more than survivors. They are, indeed, rockstars!!! Spiritualty and Recovery from Addiction

8/30/2023
— “Playing the tape is a way to stay clean. You play the tape when you feel like getting out of yourself and getting into substance. Play the tape and go to a meeting, go for a walk, or call a friend. That doesn’t mean looking back and feeling shame, guilt, and regret (you will learn to forgive yourself first.) It means don’t forget that for us, one is too many, and a thousand is never enough. It can be really simple when we break it down, and that is what Belle is here to do. This is how Belle, and many others before her, have gotten and stayed clean and sober. Her book, “Play The Tape” is for the addict prone to relapse, the people still in active addiction, and those new to recovery. Follow the steps she did, and you can do it too. You can be the best version of yourself.” Valeria interviews Belle Motley — She is the author of “Play the Tape: 5 Simple Ways to Help You Stay Clean and Sober One Day at a Time; Recovery from the Addiction of Drugs and Alcohol is Possible.” Belle has had an interesting life, to say the least. She has always been guided by Spirit, but it wasn't until her mother's passing that she became fascinated by Angel Numbers. Many signs were sent to her, with numbers being the most prominent. Belle aims to share her wisdom and experience to help others flourish on their spiritual journeys. Prior to this, Belle lost her way. She was taught morals and faith as a child and grew into a young adult with big dreams. She created a good life and achieved many goals. However, there came a point where life got complicated, as it does for most. This led to active addiction, and everything she had built was quickly lost, including almost her life. Fortunately, she was blessed to find recovery, which led her out of the darkness and into her spiritual awakening. Now, Belle utilizes the power of the Universe to manifest all her dreams and goals. She listens to her dreams and pays attention to signs, which has led her on a beautiful journey of abundance and fulfillment. She aims to help others find the path that will lead to harmony, peace, healing, and purpose in their lives. Regardless of the name, the Universe, God, Higher Power, and Source Energy have big plans for everyone. You are loved. Not A Balanced Life But An Abundant Life

8/30/2023
— “If you want to succeed, you must forget about a balanced life and strive towards an abundant life. This means you must work on each of the five life-building blocks consistently in order to bring them all to an abundant state where not a single one is incomplete or so compromised that it gets in the way of the others. These life-building blocks are in close relationship with each other, exactly like the organ systems in the human body. You cannot expect excellent health unless all your body systems work at a hundred percent individually and together. Poor health may start unnoticed and gradually erode your body and mind over the course of several years, just as successfully as poor relationships and poor financial intelligence will drag your long-term endeavors and lower your chances of success. It is the same exact principle across the board.” Valeria interviews Alexandra Dotcheva — She is the author of “It Really Is Simple: A Holistic Approach To Self-Confidence: A Practical Guide.” Born and raised into a musicians’ family in Bulgaria, Alexandra Dotcheva came to the United States in 2000 after earning a bachelor’s degree in Music from the National Academy of Music in Sofia. She earned a Doctor of Musical Arts in Violin Performance from Louisiana State University in 2007. Alexandra Dotcheva joined the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra in 2006, and in 2008, prompted by the economic crisis, she decided to pursue a career in nursing at the St. Joseph’s College of Nursing in Syracuse, NY. For her academic and clinical performance, she was awarded the John Trzeciak Award in 2010, and the Stella Sroka Award for Excellence in Cardiac Nursing and the Esther G. McCarty Memorial Scholarship in 2011 upon graduation. Alexandra Dotcheva has been practicing as a registered nurse since 2011, with a strong passion for educating patients on acquiring optimal health. Her nursing experience includes ICU, orthopedic trauma, and home care. In 2014, she began her investing career with a focus on rental real estate and, later on, options trading. She is the owner of three real estate businesses and a holistic coaching business. Alexandra’s passion for health, martial arts, fitness, and financial independence, as well as her experience with the challenges of cultural integration prompted her to write the book, It Really Is Simple: A Holistic Approach to Self-Confidence – A Practical Guide, in which she shares her path to success in an effort to motivate readers to embrace change and pursue their dreams, in spite of fear and insecurity. Her mission is to help people overcome self-imposed limitations that prevent many from realizing their goals, finding peace of mind, and acquiring prosperity. A Prayer For Healing

8/27/2023
— “Sometimes, we are reminded that pain and suffering are inevitable parts of the human experience. As Christians, we may face adversity in the form of an illness. Sickness has the potential to cripple us mentally, physically, and emotionally, but it can sometimes allow us to shift our emphasis away from our daily lives and toward God. Experiencing sickness may feel overwhelming or frightening, but it can also help us grow closer to God and strengthen our faith. Sometimes, God uses some of us best when we are weak and ill to perform something we could never have dreamed of. “ Valeria interviews Edmane Castor — She is the author of “52 Weeks of Uplifting Prayers and Guided Reflection: Daily Devotion and Scripture Reading to Deepen Your Relationship with God.” Edmane Castor was born in a small town called Duveger, near Fonds-des-Nègres in Haiti. She dedicated her life to God at the age of 12. At the age of 23, God spoke to her and called her to become a minister of the gospel in the Salvation Army. She left her country, her family, and her friends and moved to Jamaica, and joined the Salvation Army Training College. At the end of her training, she married her spouse and they were both commissioned and ordained as Salvation Army officers (ministers). God dispatched her and her husband to serve in over 22 nations in the Caribbean, Africa, and North America to minister to others. During her career, she has had the honor and privilege of mentoring, preaching, counseling, advising, and providing social services to thousands of people. She has also helped many individuals work through their problems and grow spiritually and become closer to Christ. She is thankful to God for choosing her, breaking her, molding her, and using her for His purpose and mission. She is currently a retired minister and a Commissioner of the Salvation Army but is always actively writing about her relationship with God. Emotional Freedom and The Divine Heart

8/17/2023
— “The essence of divine love, the seed of the human expression of love, is impersonal and therefore passionless. In a sense, divine love is detached “emotionless!” Detachment should not be misinterpreted for lack of caring. We are emotionally attached when we expect validation and recognition from another. When we try to find ourselves through someone else, we end up losing ourselves. We attain emotional freedom when we enter the divine heart within our own heart for, it is there that the flame of unconditional, impersonal, divine love burns. Unspoiled by the ego and untouched by human consciousness, the divine heart clearly sees the light and darkness of the human soul and loves both equally. When we experience imbalance of any kind, it is because our lack of love, particularly self-love, prevents us from allowing God within to fully love us. We are taught to love God, but the real challenge is to let God love us by loving ourselves. To love oneself is the ultimate divine command.” — Excerpt from From Childhood To Christhood Valeria interviews Jocelyne Ranucci — She is the author of “FROM CHILDHOOD TO CHRISTHOOD: A Journey into Universal Divine Consciousness.” Born in Paris, Ranucci set out on her own while still in her teens. Her work and travels took her to New York City and Mexico, and finally, to Sag Harbor, NY where she found her “home,” and herself. A successful businesswoman, she is presently at work on her second book, which will show her readers how she has put the lessons she has learned into practical use in everyday life—and how they can too.
