What’s shaping how you see the world? In a culture flooded with conflicting values, competing influences, and ever-shifting definitions of “good,” clarity can feel out of reach. But 1 Peter 3 shows us the lens through which we can see with moral clarity.

‘Likewise, wives, submit to your own husbands.’ A verse more often misunderstood than a text from your wife that says, ‘Fine. Do whatever you want.’

Meet the characters in the story that changed the world. Barabbas – The Man of Notorious Guilt Pilate – The Man of Political Compromise The Crowd – The Influential Voice of the Masses Jesus – The Righteous and Rejected King One went free. One remained neutral. One called for blood. One paid it all.

They welcomed Jesus, shouting His praise, and a few days later, shouted, ‘Crucify Him.’ People had placed their hope in what they thought Jesus would do and were disappointed when He didn’t do it. We all place our hope in something — finances, relationships, comfort, control. Misplaced hope inevitably leads to disappointment. This week, we’re talking about a hope that survives suffering and transforms lives, even when things are at their worst. Placing your hope in Christ means putting things in the proper order, which makes other things less important and actually allows you to enjoy them.

This week, we’re in 1 Peter 2:13–25 discussing the relationship between submission and witness. Peter wrote to believers under pressure—rejected, misunderstood, and soon to face persecution. Yet instead of calling for revenge or rebellion, he called for radical submission—not out of weakness, fear, or defeat but as witness. This week, we explore how submission to authority and endurance in suffering have been among the ways the Christian faith has not only survived but also shaped the world. Listen in as we examine a faith ‘Built to Last’ throughout history and what it looks like today.

Built to Last: Called to Holiness Life is full of challenges. Some days feel like a battle. Trials test our patience, our faith, and even our hope. But God is still on His throne. Peter knew suffering firsthand—he denied Jesus, faced persecution, and was ultimately martyred for his faith. Yet, in 1 Peter 1:13-15, he calls believers to stand firm, remain faithful, and be holy in all we do. Holiness involves guarding our minds, fixing our hope on Jesus, and pressing forward when we feel like quitting.
