Did you know that if you have atrial fibrillation you are 5 times more likely to have a stroke? And that 1 in 5 strokes in the UK are caused by atrial fibrillation? Chronic Kidney Disease, or CKD, is a common condition and can affect anyone. It can get worse over time and eventually it can cause the kidneys to stop working. We discuss the stages of CKD, how we test for it, how we treat it, what you can do to help prevent it or stop it from worsening, and acute kidney injury.
