My Rite of Passage Experience with Chadd Wright

7/22/2024
Send us a Text Message. #71 - Last weekend I participated in former Navy SEAL Chadd Wright and his 3 of 7 Project's Rite of Passage Mission. What is it? 24 hours of non stop movement, hiking through mountain trails of northeast Georgia. There are three simple rules - move, drink, eat. Very simple - but simple isn't easy. I enjoy stepping out of my comfort zone to keep things fresh and interesting and to challenge myself. It was such an amazing experience! On this episode, I'm going to lead you through it so that you can decide if it is something that you are interested in participating in. Follow me on Instagram @barry_s_karch

Heather Solves Running with Heather Fuselier

3/25/2024
Send us a Text Message. #54 - All of your running problems are solved on this informative and entertaining episode with Heather Fuselier of HeatherSolvesEverything.com. Topics covered include: * How to beat the eat - repent - repeat cycle * How to eat mindfully * How anyone can be a runner * How to train for races if you are a slower runner * What life lessons can you learn from running Here's some information about Heather in her own words: I'm “Healthy Heather” Fuselier: a National-Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, also holding credentials as a WellCoaches Certified Wellness Coach, Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist, author, trainer, and employee well-being consultant specializing in helping people live healthy, balanced lives. As a health and fitness enthusiast, I came to professional coaching after years of finding myself in the role of cheerleader for folks seeking greater health through life balance. I now work professionally with clients to achieve a range of goals including weight reduction and management, stress management, life balance, and tapping into the incredible power of visioning, proper goal-setting, and achieving progress, not perfection. But I haven't always been Healthy Heather. I used to be overweight, undernourished, stressed out, and fed up. I felt like I did everything "right" but I could never achieve my fitness goals. Then I gave up and decided to forget the numbers, forget the scale, and opt out of the crazy traps I kept walking into. After my own pity party of a few weeks, I realized I missed my healthy goals. But I decided to approach them differently. I changed the way I thought about my wellness, and that changed everything. I lost the weight, gained the energy, balanced my life, and even quit my job as a non-profit manager so I can help you do the same thing. The success of my clients and partners is my passion, and helping others live healthy is its own reward. I am so thankful for those bad decisions...without them I never would have ended up here with you! Now, you can find me speaking to community groups about creating sustainable healthy change, writing about raising healthy and active children, meeting with individuals to hunker down in their goals, or working with companies to design and deliver effective employee wellness programs. You can listen to me on Heather Solves Everything, my weekly radio broadcast and podcast about tapping into our unique strengths to solve the everyday problems of life. I'm also an avid runner, weight lifter, and a mom of two energetic boys. I am alongside you every day working hard at a healthy life. Follow me on Instagram @barry_s_karch
