Have you ever not received a promotion, were laid off, not chosen for a school team or a higher paying position? Those past failures had to happen so that you would change the direction you were on to be were you are today. Sometimes, life gives you a taste of what it was would feel like if you were to be succesful at soemthing. You can taste it. You can feel it. When I was in High School, I lost a basketball game for my school's team because I missed the game-winning shot. I wanted to die. I failed myself, my team, and the fans and I did it in front of everyone in the community. After the game, I found a secluded spot in the gym and cried my heart out. I was devasted at my failure. At the moment that I could no longer stand, an arm came around me and hugged me. A stringer appeared out of nowhere and gave me the love to go on. Who have you hugged today?
