Episode 69 - The Clear Mind Way with Ian Haycroft
5/19/2023
May 19, 2023 (for Mental Health Awareness Week UK)
The Jōrni Podcast
Episode 69 - The Clear Mind Way with Ian Haycroft
Today is part of Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK and this is a special bonus episode.
Kinesiology is a holistic healing modality that aims to promote overall health and wellbeing by addressing imbalances in the body's energy systems. It draws on a range of techniques and principles from various healing traditions, including Chinese medicine, chiropractic, and psychology. In Kinesiology, muscle testing is often used as a tool to identify areas of imbalance and determine which techniques and approaches will be most effective in promoting healing.
Many of us get stuck in and sometimes feel overwhelmed by information and experiences filed in our unconscious body and mind. The “Ghosts in the machine”, our unconscious drivers can manipulate our view of who we are, and our experience of the world. Using a simple muscle testing technique the Clearmind approach opens a way for each person to have “Conscious Discovery” of the unconscious and energetic blocks that stand in their way. The information stored in our subconscious influences us physically, chemically, emotionally and energetically. Therefore working with this information can help each person on each of these levels where they may experience dis-ease.
Today's guest often feels like this Clearmind process is like the first stage of a space bound rocket. It propels us out of the gravity of our unconscious limitations, then drops away, no longer needed as we sail inevitably towards awakening.
IAN HAYCROFT
Like so many, Ian Haycroft searched for ways to be internally free. Some of those efforts failed miserably, and some of them opened doors he had not even imagined. Born in Australia, Ian started meditating when a young man. Based on some of my experiences with meditation he went to India to “find his guru” in 1977.
His one year trip away ended up being a journey of 21 years. From India Ian traveled through Europe and the United States where he met his wife Kim and together raised their six children. In the US, Ian worked mostly in international relief work and in 1996 his family moved to China where he was General Manager of a vegetable export company for three years. In 1999 they settled in Australia and Ian wondered..."what he was really going to do when he grew up!" Worn out and tired of the corporate life he found Kinesiology and a way to serve people that he had never imagined.
Now their children have grown up, Ian is still here, “still standing” as Paul Simon says, and he decided that it is now his time to serve beyond the confines of a clinic in Australia and reach out to those in the world who might benefit from what he has learned.
Ian believes we are each destined to become Awake to who we really are and to the incredible connection we have to each other and the Present Consciousness that holds us all. His hope is that he can be a supportive agent in that journey of awakening for as many people as he can.

Episode 59 - Emotional Freedom Technique with Dr. Dawson Church
5/3/2023
May 3, 2023 (for Mental Health Week Canada)
The Jōrni Podcast
Episode 59 - Emotional Freedom Technique with Dr. Dawson Church
Today is part of Mental Health Week in Canada and this is a special bonus episode.
Tapping on the energy points throughout our body can have amazing effects. Today’s guest is passionate about the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or tapping) and has studied its positive effects extensively.
EFT can help with chronic pain, mental and physical issues, and performance. It can change lives, for example, if people have struggled with something without getting answers from conventional medicine. And tapping can support our overall health and wellbeing.
And before you write it off as woo woo, today’s guest will dive into the science behind it and the evidence he has gathered over the years to make EFT a non-invasive, gentle, evidence-based approach to holistic health.
DR. DAWSON CHURCH
Dawson Church, PhD, is an award-winning science writer with three best-selling books to his credit. The Genie in Your Genes was the first book to demonstrate that emotions drive gene expression. Mind to Matter showed that the brain creates much of what we think of as “objective reality”. Bliss Brain demonstrates that peak mental states rapidly remodel the brain for happiness.
Dr. Church did his undergraduate and graduate work at Baylor University, and obtained his doctorate at Holos University under the supervision of Harvard-trained neurosurgeon Norm Shealey, MD, PhD, founder of the American Holistic Medical Association.
Dr. Church has conducted dozens of clinical trials and founded the National Institute for Integrative Healthcare to study and implement promising evidence-based psychological and medical techniques. Its largest program, the Veterans Stress Project, has offered free treatment to over 20,000 veterans with PTSD over the past decade.
His groundbreaking research has been published in many prestigious scientific journals. Dawson Church is the editor of Energy Psychology: Theory, Research, & Treatment, a peer-reviewed professional journal.
He shares how to apply these breakthroughs to health and athletic performance through EFTUniverse.com, one of the most-visited alternative healing sites on the web.

Episode 57 - Healing Stress with Christopher Maher

Episode 57 - Healing Stress with Christopher Maher
This episode contains strong language. Listener discretion is advised.
Today marks the start of Mental Health Week in Canada and this is a special bonus episode.
We all experience stress, some of us more than others. Often, it shows up in the form of physical or mental health issues.
What if you could counteract and lower the amount of daily and lifetime stress you experience? What if there was a way to heal your pains and put yourself back into balance? That’s exactly what today’s guest discovered when he suffered the effects of stored stress loads and trauma that derailed his dreams.
CHRISTOPHER MAHER
At the age of 22, Christopher Lee Maher was a Navy SEAL, in his prime with a sleek 1.8% body fat and pound for pound, he was one of the fittest people on the planet. He was also completely unaware of the full impact that stress would eventually have on his physical, mental, energetic, and emotional wellbeing.
He trained all day long, at a level on par with professional athletes. In fact, after the SEALs, he began focusing on his dream of making it to the US Olympic trials, in track and field. A lack of awareness of the impact of high stored stress loads kept him from ever manifesting his dream.
Piled-up stress causes severe and traumatic damage over time—what Christopher calls Strauma, a combination of stress plus time that transforms into trauma.
Through intense pain, Christopher devoted all of his energy, time, and resources seeking out answers that would alleviate his discomfort. Eventually finding relief, Christopher applied the learned techniques and worked on himself 5 to 6 hours every day for 7 years. He put every biological system that was out of balance back in balance.
Christopher went on to study at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and Yo San University where he learned Traditional Chinese Medical Practices and an equal amount of Western science and pathology. He has spent the last decade studying at The Universal Healing Tao System and is a Master student of Grand Master Mantak Chia at the Universal Tao Master School in Chiang Mai, Thailand. He is currently pursuing his masters and doctoral degrees in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
His knowledge and experience led him to develop a comprehensive system of total physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing and integration: the True Body Intelligence technology. Christopher’s practice is located in Los Angeles, CA. He is an author, inventor, entrepreneur, speaker, coach, and innovator in the fields of health, wellness, and longevity.
