38. I need more clarity!

12/3/2023
What’s one of the most common catchphrases of people who are stuck? “I need more clarity!” If I have more clarity, I will know what the next step is. I will know what to do, and I will know how to go about doing it. That’s what I thought and did for decades. Until I realized I’d got the order wrong. Clarity comes after you take action. It is only when we move towards our goal in faith, in trust, not in a passive way, but in an active, trusting way, faithful, full of faith, believing that magic can happen, that clarity reveals itself. We do ourselves a disservice when we need to have everything lined up in order, perfectly laid out in sequence so that we can step elegantly from one stepping stone to the next, because life is not linear and transformation is not linear It comes when we least expect it, but it also comes when we prepare for it. The important thing is to keep going, to keep discovering for yourself and keep exploring what else is out there. And so there is this delicate dance that goes on between surrendering and trusting, and also taking inspired and consistent action every day.
