Among those who have been and will be sharing their knowledge are those from the Department of Defense (DOD), Veterans Health Administration, Veterans Benefits Administration, National Cemetery Administration, members of Congress (both House and Senate), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), American Legion, Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), Military Order of World Wars (MOWW), Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Vietnam Veterans of America, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), just to name a few.You will learn, among many other things, how to use the VA claim process, the services offered by the James A Haley VA Hospital that your local VA hospital may also offer and how to make use of them, and how to access educational benefits and home loans. What you have just read is the tip of the iceberg; there is so much more captured in the shows already posted and those yet to come. In 1963 retired United States Navy Rear Admiral Thomas Lynch was a Junior at our nation's Naval Academy and Captain of the football team. In 1964, as a Senior, he played on a team that included Junior Roger Staubach. We'll learn about the Admiral's life growing up in Ohio, his acceptance to Annapolis, and his career as a Naval Surface Warfare Officer.

Robert "Rocky" Bleier, Former US Army Specialist 4

National Football League and Pittsburgh Steelers legend Robert "Rocky" Bleier was drafted into our United States Army where he served as an Infantryman in the Vietnam War. He was wounded in action, becoming a recipient of the Bronze Star with Valor device and a Purple Heart. Following his two years of service he returned to professional football to participate in the winning of four Super Bowls.

College friends who were in the process of becoming Marines took him into their fold. Four days after college graduation he found himself in Marine Corps Officer Candidate School where he graduated and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant. Then he was off to Law School.

Today Joe speaks with Retired United States Marine Corps Major Patrick J. McLain. Patrick began his military career as a Communications Officer in our United States Marine Corps. During the Cold War he deployed to Norway with his platoon of Marines, laying communications lines in the Northern Hemisphere darkness as well as enjoying spectacular views of the Aurora Borealis. He then transitioned to law school and served the rest of his military career with the Judge Advocate General. Finally we learn about his post-military career where he now has his own law practice.

Retired United States Air Force Master Sgt. Michael Antis

Michael's story begins with his birth in 1935 in Yugoslavia in what is today Serbia. His town was occupied by Nazi Germany during World War II. Following the war, Russian soldiers rounded up his family and other families in his town and placed them in starvation camps. Learn about post-World War II life under the conditions of Communist Russia and the Soviet Union and how one child and his family escaped life behind the Iron Curtain and survived to become American citizens.
