Sowing with Intent

Sowing with Intent offers a fresh look at Jesus's Parable of the Sower by demonstrating that the parable (a) stands above other parables, (b) represents Jesus's own approach to field ministry, (c) implicitly invites all obedient disciples to adopt Jesus's ministry approach, and (d) guides disciples to discover catalysts who ignite harvest movements. Jesus's original intent for telling the Parable of the Sower was likely lost in the second century and remained lost until the end of the nineteenth century when scholars declared the original meaning can be known today. Using hermeneutical principles, Sowing with Intent attempts to provide churches and missionaries with Jesus's original intent for telling the Parable of the Sower and how to apply it in today's context. “In Kevin Greeson’s masterful Sowing with Intent, the author takes on his personal journey to understand the missional strategy of Jesus. Greeson’s book achieves a fusion of ideas between two worlds, the academic and the missionary practitioner world. Anyone intent on fulfilling the Great Commission through Jesus’s own Great Plan must read this book!” David Garrison, PhD, Missionary author “Kevin Greeson’s Sowing with Intent bridges the gap on the interpretation of Jesus’s Parable of the Sower. This parable is the pinnacle of Jesus’s teaching on the work of evangelism, follow-up, and discipleship. I highly recommend this book to all Christians truly intent on fulfilling Christ’s Great Commission.” Thomas Johnston, PhD, Senior Professor of Evangelism Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary Author - Kevin Greeson.
