When Adam Granduciel met Kurt Vile back in 2003, they learned that they saw eye-to-eye on about everything music-related, especially their love of Bob Dylan. The Phily-based indie rock band debuted their first album, Wagonwheel Blues, in 2008 to critical acclaim. Since then, Vile has left the band, but Granduciel continues to make the unique americana-shoegaze sound of The War on Drugs.
