Brin Ho Ching is the owner, baker, and recipe creator. She has had a love for baking/cooking ever since she could stand on a chair and make pancakes. Giving food is my way to show love and express gratitude. The Sourdoughry was started out of fear. Brin is constantly afraid of dough, and was tired of having something hold her back. With trial and error she figured out how to create a loaf we loved, and couldn’t wait to share. However the menu won’t start, and end with a loaf of bread. Erin Mendenhall - Salt Lake City Mayor

4/3/2024
Which horse runs the city? The mare of course! We are quite unqualified to have a Mayor on our show, let alone the Mayor of Utah's Capitol city! She even rode her bike to the studio, so we salute you Mayor for helping keep our air clean! As mayor, Erin is working hard to make Salt Lake City more environmentally and economically resilient, and to take advantage of the region’s historic period of economic opportunity. She is determined to ensure every Salt Laker — no matter their neighborhood, economic or housing status, faith, race, or sexual or gender identity — can access all the city has to offer. Erin is determined to bring scientific understanding to air-quality discussions in the state legislature, our schools, and our community. Bill was enamored by our well spoken, and determined Mayor. Jimmy was excited to share Renourish Kombucha, and Dawson was leaving doors open. Get a package of snacks, a snackage, if you will. Ali Vallarta - City Cast SLC Host

3/20/2024
Riding horses in the Mountain West & hosting City Cast Salt Lake. Like any good mixologist, Ali Vallarta wanted to shake things up. “I found myself going to the same seven bars over and over. Like, every week, we’re back at the same places. There’s so much more to see and more people to meet.” It’s safe to say that’s no problem after her year-long adventure. That’s because Vallarta — whose day job is hosting the City Cast Salt Lake City podcast — decided at the beginning of 2023 that she was going to do something a little crazy: grab a drink at every bar in Salt Lake County. She drank at 211 bars in all. The tour would be a bit of a logistical challenge. Sure, bars near her downtown Salt Lake City apartment would be relatively easy to pick off. But watering holes farther away required friendly designated drivers, geographic travel optimization, and, well, a lot of drinking. We dive into Ali's bar bouncing adventure, and take a deeper dive into getting to know her through the lens of food, and drink. Bill brought his badgering of interviewing questions, Jimmy brought a luxurious Orange Wine, and Dawson hit the lights, started the camera, and put them into action. You can join us on set to sit for a recording! Email us at: theletsgoeatshow@gmail.com
