Potty in the Potterverse

It's 2019, and it's time to catch up on new movie talk and get Darth Taxus to quit writing "2018" on his checks! We'll discuss our reactions to Into the Spider-Verse and Bumblebee. Since we're in a reviewing mood, Taxus reads us a variety of liners from other reviews, and we have to connect it to the correct movie. Finally, we'll discuss the new information that was released (or squeezed out) about bathroom habits at Hogwarts.

The Geek Supreme Returns on January 15th, 2019

We're back in 2019!

Merry Mandalorian on the Shelf

NOTICE - Some content may be unsuitable for younger audiences. It’s the most wonderful time of the year and our last podcast of the year. We discuss the cast announcements for The Manalorian, react to the new Godzilla trailer, play a game of Holiday Geek Words, pick the best/worst movies we’ve seen this year and come up with our own “on the shelf” characters. At times, it might sound like someone spiked our eggnog.

G.I. Joes Survived The Snap

Author and mega-collector Mark Bellomo joins us to discuss his new book The Ultimate Guide to G.I. Joe 1982-1994 and to watch as we attempt to see if we know as much as him in a game of trivia. Also, we'll react to the trailers for Captain America and Avengers Endgame. Finally, we'll share who we'd like to leave off our geek Christmas List.Be sure to listen all the way to the end!

The Fantabulous Disney, Fantastic Beasts and Long Title Episode of One Geek Podcast

We're back, and so are the Fantastic Beasts! However, there are some not-so-fantastic complaints about it among fans. We'll discuss. Plus, we're adding general news stories to the show today! Not because you need it, but so Darth Taxus can ask how certain geek characters would respond to the stories. People are talking about that LOOONG Birds of Prey movie title, so we come up with some long titles and taglines of our own! Finally, we'll react to the live-action Lion King trailer and decide...

Thankful For Stan Lee

It's Thanksgiving week, so our show is FULL of food, turkeys and geeks. In other words, Darth Taxus is turning Jeff and Regina into turkeys and letting Scott shoot at them. When that's not happening, Regina and Scott are serving Jeff geek-themed Thanksgiving dishes. Along the way, we'll discuss some Star Wars Galaxy's Edge news and take time to remember the great Stan Lee. We'll also make some Rotten Tomatoes predictions on some December movies.

I Want My Disney Plus TV

ADVISORY - Some themes discussed in this week's episode might be unsuitable for younger audiences. Disney Plus has officially been announced, along with Loki, Scarlet Witch and Cassian Andor TV shows. We'll react to those and come up with programs that should NOT be in the Disney streaming service. Speaking of Disney, they've teamed up with Google Home to provide music and sound effects for storytime. So, we'll tell some weird stories and see what sound effects come out of them.

Halloween Party at Hill House

We're off next week, so that's an excuse to celebrate Halloween early. This party is scary and a little demented. First, we'll discuss the buzz surrounding The Haunting of Hill House. Also in today's party, you'll join us for a scary guessing game and a horror character-themed edition of "F, Mary, Kill". The geeks will also react to the announcement of a Scooby Doo reboot and share the scary movies that terrified them as children. Join us, and don't forget which Han Solo mask you'll be...

Geoffrey Sells & Star Wars Smells

Want something completely different? Okay, we give you that almost every week, but today it's a host shakeup! This week, topics include the a new Toys 'R Us store concept, cancellation of Iron Fist, James Gunn writing Suicide Squad 2, Star Wars-themed candles, Star Wars Resistance reactions and a Holiday Special Mandalorian weapon. All that, plus a Star Wars Holiday Special trivia...

The Mandalorian, The Witch and The Crane

New York City Comic-Con 2018 has come and gone, and that means...MORE TRAILERS. So, we talk about Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina trailer and DC's extended trailer for Aquaman. Plus, we now know the title for the new Star Wars live-action series (plus we got a photo) - The Mandalorian. So, we HAVE to talk about that, right? Jeff, Regina and Darth Taxus have had a chance to hear Scott's fiction podcast - The Crimson Files, and they share their thoughts on it. All this, plus fried...

Movie Trailers, Fantastic Beasts Controversies, More Kathleen and Less Star Wars

We react and discuss the trailers for Captain Marvel, Star Wars Resistance, Fantastic Beasts 2 and Bumblebee. We'll address the controversy surrounding the Nagini reveal in the trailer for Fantastic Beasts: the Crimes of Grindelwald. In the spirit of prequel controversies, Darth Taxus challenges us to create an intentionally bad idea for a film. We'll also talk about the announcements of less Star Wars movies and Kathleen Kennedy's Lucasfilm extension.

We're Having Flashbacks!

It's our season finale (we're back on September 11), and we're ranking the top three most memorable stories that took place over the season. Plus, Darth Taxus makes it a challenge just to see how much we remember. Join us for that, as well as Rotten Tomatoes predictions for The Happytime Murders. FYI - Some adult themes are in this week's episode.

Kirk, Kittens & PiKard

It's our most star-studded (or maybe we should say Star Trekked filled) episode to date. We'll discuss the latest Star Trek news, including the official announcement regarding the return of Jean-Luc Picard, the plan for year-round Star Trek TV shows and the break up between Star Trek 4, Chris Pine and Chris Hemsworth. With that main course set, we'll give you some side dishes in the way of a high-budget Star Wars TV series, results of the Christopher Robin predictions and engines full of...

Disnified Adult Muppet Situations

NOTE - Some content in this episode may not be appropriate for younger children. As Geek Supreme, Jeff was given the power to make Scott and Regina think hard about a certain fandom. This is accomplished by playing a Muppet version of F***, Marry, Kill. Need we say more? Also, the geeks will discuss the Disney/Fox merger, as well as news about Star Wars Resistance, the Episode IX cast and The Flash movie plot change.

Shazam! Comic CONversations

San Diego Comic-Con 2018 is in the books, and as always, there was plenty of trailers, showcases and announcements. That's why this week's episode is dedicated to the convention. The geeks will discuss trailers, TV announcements, apparel, panels, surprises and more. Plus, since it's Darth Taxus' birthday, they'll blow out candles and pick the best movies that came out during their birth month. Join us, and we won't make you sing "Happy Birthday".

Comic Con Exclusives and Thanos' Dumb Ideas

San Diego Comic-Con is right around the corner! So, we're going to spend some time discussing the exclusives we want and stuff we want to see. Is Thanos a big purple dumbass? Someone wrote an opinion piece saying his Infinity Glove plan was dumb. Joss Whedon is getting a new HBO series, and William Gibson is getting his Alien 3 script made into a comic book. All this, and we even throw in a Joker-themed Geek Word game.

Ants in the Podcast

This week, ants are back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and they're in our podcast as well. If the geeks aren't careful, they could step in an anthill and get bitten. In the meantime, there will be reviews of Ant-Man and the Wasp, memories of Steve Ditko, new job ideas for Geoffrey the Giraffe, reactions to an 80s cartoon themes list and continued frustrations with some people in the Star Wars fandom (see Ahmed Best).
