After 20 years of military service, I know extremely too well the stress of PCSing (relocating due to military orders) and I know intimately the anxiety that accompanies the move until you have made it to your next location and truly getting settled in that new area can be anywhere from 3-6 months after the movers have dropped off the last of household goods. There are several types of first-time homebuyer programs, including: Federal Housing Administration (FHA) loans: These are mortgages that are insured by the FHA and are available to first-time homebuyers with a credit score of at least 580.
