I very much consider myself a House music DJ but most of my sets and mixes stray somewhat from that; I usually mix in some Breaks, or Speed Garage or Techno or some other branch of dance music to keep it fresh and add a bit more variety. After an invitation from a friend to play a 'Just House' event, I decided to do a 'deep dive' into my library and dig out the House tracks that really spoke to me about what House is. There are a tonne of tracks in here, both old and new, but I've tried not to just trot out the same old 'classics' and hopefully you should hear some tracks here that you've not heard before and some you've not heard in ages. Either way, the tracks in here should get you dancing because that's what it's all about, after all!

So, this is a bit of a special one. Those of you who have heard a good number of my mixes will know that I love to slip in a bit of Speed Garage. I fell in love with it back in '97 and never really fell out of love with it; everything sounds better with a Speedy G bassline underneath, right?! I decided it was time that I had a Speed Garage T-shirt in my life and that is how I met the lovely woman in the artwork here; this is Kate from Kates Customs ( https://katescustoms.co.uk )and that T-shirt she's wearing is one of her own embroidered designs and so I had to buy one! It was getting that Tee that inspired me to make this mix: 90 minutes of full-on Speed Garage, old and new. Get stuck in! Back with a bosh! Love bass? Love piano and vocals? This could be the mix for you! It starts a bit hard with plenty of donk and wub but gets proper uplifting! Buckle up and get stuck in!

For reasons I don't quite understand, there seem to be a tonne of face-melting Rave and Old Skool inspired tracks around at the moment. So, it seemed rude not to make an absolute monster of a mixtape fusing all this high octane craziness together. Strap in and enjoy!

50 minutes of driving dance music that sweeps from oldskool Electro, to Tech House, through a bit of fresh Rave House and on via some Bass to some uplifting 90s inspired Piano House. A real journey for those who love to dance!

This month's mix is, as usual, a varied mix of sub-genres including Deep, Tech, Electro and Bass but woven together to keep the energy up and keep the dance floor popping!

There are some great Tech House tracks around at the moment so I started there for this mix but there are also some good retro revivals of old bass-driven tracks from back in the day so it gets a bit dirty later on and--just as a special treat--I throw in a couple of quality bassline warpers. As always, the mix is full-on start to finish. Enjoy!

So, on 22nd July I played a club gig at The Underground, an awesome club in Stoke (with a wicked sound system!) as part of The Mighty Ooossshhh Live event. This is my set.

Bit of a 'bad bwoi' month this one! Strap in for some bass, breaks, rave and of course lashings of House, both deep and piano!

For June's mix, I've decided to go all out House (with a little sprinkling of Bass to top things off) so expect pianos, vocals and driving dance floor beats throughout!

By most measures, 2021 was a god-awful year but one highlight for me was that dance music seemed to get harder, faster and elements of Acid House and Rave came back in to vogue and I flippin' love that stuff! So, this 'Best of 2021' mix is an absolute face-melter. Enjoy!
