Matt and Brandon are the Rap Thought Podcast. Each episode, they share their thoughts and perspectives on a hiphop album chosen at random. From the 80s to current releases, no album is off limits. This is not a review podcast; conversely they break down and analyze the albums that are chosen for them. Their vision is to bring the listener along with them while they dive deep into each album. They're not your average album reviewers, they incite thought and meaning behind the music. The hosts, Matt & Brandon have very different backgrounds and perspectives when it comes to music, society and culture which leads to thought provoking dialogue centered around the albums they discuss. These conversations will lead to much more than just the music as they take a deeper look into the context and environment surrounding the release of each record discussed. Matt was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley in Southern California attending small private schools. His first hip hop was Beastie Boys License to Ill in 3rd grade and since then he has been a hip hop head immersing himself in all things rap since then. Brandon grew up in the North Bay Area about 1 hour north of San Fransisco. He has lived in small towns his whole life and has an insatiable knack for questioning everything to understand it. Brandon's first introduction to rap was at a young age and ever since then he has been breaking down lyrics of his favorite rap songs.Matt & Brandon are the Rap Thought Podcast.
