This week the boys catch up with University of Reading Music Programme Coordinator and former rowing scholar about the impact of music in her life. From growing up with her parent's tunes to empowering her sporting endeavours, Lucy shares how she has rediscovered some of her lost passions for playing and listening.

This week the boys speak to acclaimed trumpeter and former Scots Guard, Stuart Henderson about his experiences in the army - playing at some of the most poignant and prestigious events in the world. He also discusses how he discovered his passion for jazz and the significance of it on is career after leaving the army.

This week Everybody Likes Music travels over 4000 miles away as we speak to conservationist, saxophonist and University of Reading graduate Marlene Horsford, direct from her home in Anguila. Marlene compares her musical experiences growing up on a Carribean island to experiencing the vibrant scene in Reading. Plus we delve into her important conservation work and even the musical ability of animals....

This week the boys meet DJ and radio legend MC Napthali to discuss the impact of music throughout his life. MC Napthali shares stories and memories as well as the importance of music in understanding his own cultural heritage.

This week the boys meet Radio 3 DJ and established music journalist Fiona Talkington to discuss how music has influenced her life.

This week the boys put on their dancing shoes and waltz into the world of dance. Talking all things from Strictly to their favourite moves in the club. We then speak to Richard Sawyer, dance captain for the Reading University Ballroom and Latin Society (RUBLS) who tells as about his journey into dance, the effect it can have on musicianship and the exciting world of competitive ballroom dancing.

We are back for 2021! In our first show of the new year, James and Ben turn their not-so-expert discussion to the world of punk rock and the culture surrounding it. From exploring what the word punk truly means to how the music spread across country. They are also joined by Professor Matt Worley, an actual expert in Modern History, who provides a more informed discussion on punk and its impact on the world. From cheesy hits to classic carols, the boys explore the best and worst in xmas songs as well as their music review of 2020. We're also joined by some University of Reading alumni friends who share their experiences of music at the uni, a few festive favourites and give some advice to those feeling the uni blues. There'll be plenty of surprises along the way and much more...

This week the boys bring out a bit of the old 'razzle dazzle' as they discuss all things Musicals! From Hammerstein to Hamilton and Sullivan to Sondheim - they give their not-so-expert opinion on the stage and beyond. We're also joined by the President of the Reading Uni Drama Society (RUDS), Em Rayson, who talks to us about how she got into performing, the importance of live bands, joining a society in these strange times and much more...

This week we get to hear some actual music! The boys chat to two artists who are former members of the University of Reading Singer/Songwriter Society: Somer Hickory and Edward House as well as playing some of their original music. We talk recording in lockdown, the importance of jamming with others, where stage names come from and much more...

This week the boys discuss some of their favourite film music from John Williams and Hans Zimmer to Beyonce and Elton John, cross-examining what makes it so important to movies. They are also joined by special guest Dae Lee, professional drummer and Musical Director of the University of Reading Big Band. He tells us about his roots into jazz, what it takes to go pro, reviews his time so far with the band and much more.

James Smith hosts the first episode of the UoR music Podcast with help from Ben Stone. This week the boys talk about their experiences of music at the University of Reading, the effects of COVID on music and look forward to some of the exciting lockdown events coming up. They are joined by special guest Victoria Ely, artistic director of University of Reading Music, who tells us about her own experiences in music and discusses the future of music at the university plus much more.
