We learn that Trump, in that time, has saved the lives of 75% of the American population. We learn that every single pollster and news organization is engaged in a massive conspiracy to have us believe that he and his policies are not popular. We learn that Harlem had massive protests against Harvard University that apparently nobody even knew about. We learned that Trump "did very well with black voters", which means that 16% is now defined as "very well". Send us a text Quite a week for Trump. He finally left the country to attend the funeral for the Pope and his mere presence and lack of decorum was the talk of the event. So far, even Fox News, who you'll recall damn near declared the end of our Republic when Obama wore a tan suit, and blasted the leader of the free world Volodymyr Zelensky for not wearing a jacket and tie in the Oval Office, said nothing about the blue suit and tie. Speaking of the media...in what should have been the top story of the month, if not week, was a one news cycle thing. The 60 Minutes Executive Producer Bill Owens has resigned under corporate pressure. The reasons should make our blood boil. Send us a text Once again, another week in the books and more evidence that we are dealing with something in this country that we've never faced before. Legal residents are being snatched off of our streets and 'disappeared'. And if that alone isn't enough to cause extreme outrage, Federal Courts and even a unanimous Supreme Court rulings that the Trump administration must get them back are ignored. This is the point that we've never crossed in our history. People are outraged. Hundreds of thousands are demonstrating in cities and towns in every state and in countries across the globe. That is the good news. But it's also the bad news, as no doubt that these demonstrations will be the impetus for Trump to declare a national emergency and suspend elections. Lest you think that this is hyperbole, did you ever imagine that we'd be where we already are? How long until the inevitable violence occurs? Who could have seen all of this coming? Send us a text After witnessing the obscene way in which the Trump team treated the President of our ally Ukraine on Friday, it is clear that Trump and his cronies are working for someone other than the American people and the principles of democracy. Not only has the world reacted in outrage and horror, it is the American people, our economy and standing in the world that will ultimately suffer. As his support erodes - not only around the world - but here at home, look for a repeat of history -- our Reichstag fire event that will be meant to rally the people to the authoritarian's cause and result in a premise to declare Martial Law and who knows...suspend elections? It may come in the form of a well timed explosion that can be blamed on "our enemies". It may be an assassination of some un-needed red state elected officials who would be seen as "dying for the cause". And look for the 2026 elections to be under stress like we have never seen. Send us a text If it's not plainly clear by now, we have handed the country over to a homicidal maniac hell-bent on taking out anyone and everyone he perceives as having slighted him. And that list is long and very distinguished. He has been mocked and laughed at his entire life, and always gotten by thanks to his daddy's money and influence. He is living his fantasy of being a mob boss who issues life and death orders that he expects to be followed without question. Hyperbole? Explain the removal of the Secret Service protection from people who he perceives have betrayed him...Pompeo, Bolton, Fauci...all of whom are facing death threats from domestic and foreign sources. Further, explain why...upon removing the protection...he felt the need to publicize it so openly and proudly. He is actually saying that he wants these people dead. Like a mob boss would. Never saying the exact words, but making it clear nonetheless. So what now? Unless the opposition finds their spine and begins to fight with tougher tactics, we may be well on our way to a dystopian nightmare. And it's only been two weeks... Send us a text It's only been 6 days, but already it's clear that we are headed for some very tough times in this country. In that short amount of time, we've seen deportation raids on workplaces, homes, schools, churches. Congress is confirming some of the most inexperienced and dangerous people to head our Defense and Intelligence agencies. All out attack on transgendered citizens. The release of violent terrorists back into our communities. The co-President delivering Nazi salutes to followers, then trying to gaslight us by suggesting that it was "a Roman salute". Next up: inflation inducing tariffs. So we all have to choose. Are we simply going to allow ourselves to be victimized? Are we going to become an organized resistance movement? Or will we be conspirators? We share some thoughts of a Professor at NYU who thinks that we are headed for a revolution in this country because of the unsustainable wealth disparity that promises to only get worse. Harris has billionaires Beyonce, Springsteen and Mark Cuban as well as Barack and Michelle Obama to bring it home. Meanwhile, Trump is handing out French Fries from a drive thru window, and standing up audiences in Michigan while he tries to reach young men by chatting with Joe Rogan. Steve Schmidt summarizes pretty well just what Kamala Harris did to Baier, while Colin Allred treated Ted Cruz like a piñata. But the award has to go to Trump, who got humiliated at an event in Chicago, and decimated at an Hispanic Town Hall in Miami and finished the week by failing to resist the urge to discuss Arnold Palmer's penis.
