Episode 15 Remix – Let Your Hair Down, JoyTalks & Tarot Reading

4/6/2020
In this mixed up episode, join Kai the Podbean community for a week's end communal, relaxed show in which Joy from JoyTalks comes by and we have a chat about new podcaster and a recent caller into his show Teens Perspective and parental techniques involving early teen behavior (it's porn, we're talking about porn here...) Afterwards Rich from the Full of Brologna podcast calls in to talk a few topics but we kick it off with talk about 'Tiger King'. And proving herself a trooper and amazing sport about it all, P0etic from the The Whole-E Shift!! Podcast calls in and does a tarot card reading for me live on air! Not a believer at all but mad respect to her for calling in knowing who she was dealing with. Nothing but love P0etic!

Episode 14 – A Super Productive Double-Header

3/23/2020
The primary focus of this entire episode is dedicated to shining a spotlight on Anarcho-Syndicalism/Socialism, explaining what they are and to demonstrate what they functionally look like, identify some of the potential pitfalls, how they can be avoided and to provide methods on how to bring these ideologies and philosophies in to your life and community. This is the longest published livestream to date (6 hours) and is contains some amazingly productive work. Although the beginning lacks a touch of chat/community involvement it definitely gets busy later on with several callers across the entirety including a curious high-schooler, a musician and fellow podcaster from California, a Texas-based dance instructor and an Indian caller looking to practice some English. Episode 07 – Video Games, Capitalism, Taxes and Voting

2/18/2020
In this livestream I start off discussing my latest binge of the Assassin's Creed video game series and the corrupting force of capitalism even in something as "simple" as video games. We also have a talk about taxes in their many forms and implementations here (the USA) and abroad, the extraction of wealth by the wealthy and the oppression of poor people in general. We also discuss voting and different voting styles after my anecdote about voting in the Nevada Democratic Caucus. Also on the table is the ramifications of the Poverty of Philosophy and we as always take a caller. ***Due to some strangeness with Audition I had to use the backup stream recording of this show and as such some audio elements may be below the quality that is normal for our show (music, etc). Sorry for that! Songs used in this episode: Elephant Funeral - The Greedy Yarostan - L'inertie du mouvement (The Inertia of Movement) Toussaint - New Gods (feat Molly Dean and Chersti Rydning) The Polish Ambassador - Electrons Orbiting Melancholy Provided and used under Creative Commons licensing.

Episode 06 – From Class Warfare to A Racist Caller and Everything In Between!

2/11/2020
In this stream we had our very first racist caller and surprisingly enough, it was a black man. While we all harbour no ill feelings towards him, I (Kai) unfortunately had to disconnect him as a caller because while I'm all for an open forum and discussion of differing view points, I refuse to platform certain ideologies. While that goes against my instincts that are anti-censorship, I also feel it's my responsibility and right to end a discussion when it has become counter-productive as that one had. Besides the fireworks that was that singular caller, we had some amazing back and forths, Glenn from the Random Couple Show stopped in and also was a caller for the end of the show. Homelessness, audio equipment and class warfare were also on the table. As well as a small discussion on pejorative epithets. We also received our first gifts from livestream! (shout out to fridaykindofguy!).

2/4/2020
Welcome to the 5th episode of the MLC Livestream! I started this episode solo as Mike was out driving (gotta earn that rent!) but I soldiered through. We covered a variety of topics from the Cheeto in Chief's $3.4 million superbowl party, terrible superbowl advertising, facial recognition being racist, Bernie Sander's winning the Iowa caucus, protesting abroad and the lack of it in America, climate change and so much more! *Note: As a co-hosted and livestreamed podcast not all opinions expressed are that of Kai. Every person is their own and while I may not agree nor condone what they may say, I always support their right to self-expression.
