I have 2 special guests on today's show that give us expert insight into the economy, global trade, tariffs and U.S. manufacturing. First I talk to Kevin Hassett, the Director of the National Economic Council, to walk us through recent developments within the Trump administration. As country after country lined-up to make a deal with President Trump, the president put a pause on all tariffs except China. President Trump has now raised the tariffs to 145% in relation to China. Essentially isolating China with the most extreme tariffs set the stage for other countries to decide how they wanted to respond. Hassett says 15 countries or more will come away with a good deal in the coming days and weeks. It's Good Friday here on the Sean Spicer Show, and we wish you a very blessed Easter weekend as you gather with friends, family and loved ones. Franklin Graham delivered the prayer service at the White House Easter prayer service and dinner. President Trump declared "It will always be In God We Trust. Senator Cory Gardner is the Chairman of the Senate Leadership Fund. It's Holy Week and the White House has some extraordinary events planned as we lead up to Easter. President Trump assured Easter will get the "celebration it deserves." NBC's SNL stooped to a new low in a completely tasteless and unfunny sketch mocking Easter, Christians and President Trump. There was no hiding how SNL is really just a propagandist arm of the Democratic party. As Joe Biden's cognitive collapse made its way to households around the country and the world, Biden's blunders were far more apparent and evident behind the scenes. Examples such as Biden giving then Speaker McCarthy a tour of the pool house dressing room, or asking where a deceased Congresswoman was during the tour. Biden's closest aides did everything in their power to not only keep their jobs but cover up these outrageous lapses in Biden's cognition. Meanwhile VP Harris and her team conjured up a contingency plan around Biden passing away while in office. It was shaky ground to say the least and it all came crashing down in July, when Biden met Donald Trump on the debate stage. A bitter and betrayed Biden tried to paint himself as a magnanimous leader stepping down as the top Democratic knives came out, including betrayal from Pelosi, Obama and Schumer. The problem was, nobody had faith in Kamala, including Obama, yet here she was. How could Democrats, after everything they preach, pass on the first black woman running for the highest office in the land? As tensions grew amongst Democratic camps, Donald Trump was running a very disciplined, unchaotic campaign led by Wiles and LaCivita. Kamala's scripted and sometimes edited appearances couldn't hold a candle to the long-form podcast and interviews President Trump and Vice President JD Vance were appearing in. As top Obama and Biden aides projections show Donald Trump winning, they told Harris/Walz a different story. It was only on election night as the votes came in did Kamala's bubble burst and her dreams shattered. At the end of the day, President Trump first beat Joe Biden, then beat Kamala Harris to become our 47th president. President Trump slapped China with additional tariffs, raising the total to 104 percent. This ignited an immediate response by China with 84 percent tariff on imports of U.S. goods. This forced Apple to fly plane loads of goods to the U.S. before the tariffs struck to avoid the price hike. The Apple iphone may jump up to $2500 when it's all said and done if the countries don't come to the table to negotiate. China relies heavily on the U.S. market and has used and abused the rules of the WTO for years. The jobs report came in over the weekend and President Trump added 228,000 jobs in March. That's about double what the experts and economist predicted, including 10,000 in manufacturing jobs while President Biden lost nearly 9,000 manufacturing jobs per month. Another $1.4 Billion in unused COVID funds will be returned to taxpayers through the department of Treasury. We are a day away from filling the Congressional seats left vacant from Matt Gaetz and Mike Waltz. Well if there is one thing we learned from Jeffrey Goldberg's sensationalized story in The Atlantic is that this trump team is unified and working as a team.
