Detectives are asking for the public's help identifying two men they say beat someone unconscious inside a South Philadelphia gym. KYW Newsradio's Conner Barkon has details. Philadelphia’s mobile crisis response system still faces challenges despite making progress

Philadelphia’s crisis response teams have diverted thousands of cases, away from police and toward community mental health services, since the system was created, four years ago. That was the testimony at a city council hearing, today, on how the system is operating. A pair of bills aimed at giving teachers and other state-employees who retired before 2001 a cost-of-living increase has taken a first step in the Pennsylvania House. The faculty at Community College of Philadelphia has voted to authorize a strike, while contract negotiations continue. Dozens of children die from choking each year in the U-S, and a new bill moving through Trenton would require school districts to keep anti-choking devices available to save a student’s life. A Philadelphia man accused of killing his pregnant girlfriend has been arrested after being on the run for four years. As KYWs Crime and Justice reporter Kristen Johanson tells us, he was taken into custody during a traffic stop in Atlanta. The Philadelphia Health Department is warning residents about possible measles exposure at two locations in the city. Health officials saying a patient with measles visited a couple of public health facilities between last Friday and this past Monday. SEPTA bus riders will start to notice signs that reserve a space for the transit agency's youngest passengers. The Trump Administration has chosen a new federal prosecutor for Philadelphia and the city's surrounding counties. A high school quiz competition lets Delaware County high school students flex their academic muscles. And as KYW’s Justin Udo tells us, a champion was crowned.

More than 150 people attended a community meeting in Upper Makefield Township, Bucks County, on Tuesday night to voice their frustrations and concerns over the recent response to a pipeline that leaked jet fuel into the groundwater. ... The Delaware County community rallied together on Tuesday around Crozer Chester Medical Center and Taylor Hospital. Police release video of suspect in West Philly shooting that wounded 15-year-old

Investigators have released surveillance video of a man wanted for what they say was a road rage shooting that injured a 15-year-old boy and a 20-year-old woman in West Philadelphia. Authorities are searching for at least four people they say tried to steal tens of thousands of dollars in beef from a tractor trailer in South Philly Tuesday morning. A man and woman are sentenced in the hit and run death of a cyclist in North Philadelphia in 2020. A long-term project to shore-up the Market Street Bridge over the Schuylkill River gets underway next week, with a yearlong closure as part of the plan. A Philadelphia city council committee failed to approve a bill designed to improve safety for students by enforcing school zone speed limits with cameras.
