Spiritual growth means growing to know how God wants us to live so that we seek to please Him in all things. Stagnation comes when we have stopped seeking, desiring more of God, of knowing Him, or perhaps we have doubted. We have settled where we are spiritually.

We are all worshippers by nature. We are always worshipping something or someone. We worship that which we have identified that is greater than us, that fills us with admiration and is where we will deposit the best of us from our time, resources, our life, and devotion. What or who are we worshipping?

We cannot run away or hide from God. Once we give up our desires, dreams, will and let ourselves be found by that wonderful God, we discover that His intention is not to harm us but to bless us. He formed us even in our mother's womb for His purpose and ordained all our days before we saw the light of day.

Whether you are facing some circumstance or problem, in the midst of a storm, or are experiencing His mercies every day, we must learn to have a thankful heart for God, be filled with joy for His goodness and tell others about God.

Sometimes it doesn't seem worth doing the right thing! When the bad prosper and the good suffer, you may be tempted to doubt God, especially if you are trying to do the right thing! If we are not careful to have the right perspective, we may be tempted to stop doing what is right and try to do what is wrong. When the wicked seem to win, let us submit to God, be content in Him and do what is right, trusting that the Lord will judge righteously.

None of us are really safe until we take refuge in God. Need help? Then Psalm 121 is for you, it is a good psalm to remember and keep in mind and heart as we go through life's journey. It is our prayer that this psalm will help us to put our trust in God's providence and care for our lives.

Psalm 40 is a song about those pits of life. Because David waited intensely on the Lord to rescue him and learned how to wait on the Lord to get him out of the pits of his life. So it is a psalm about what to do when you are in the pit of problems, situations and circumstances.

Where do you go when life hits you with a crisis? Where do you turn when things get tough? How do you pray during a crisis? Many people are not prepared to pray in a crisis. Their prayers are filled with fear and panic, very different from the attitude in prayer that David shows us here in this Psalm 27. What we find is a prayer of absolute confidence in the midst of trial, we can learn from David about how to pray and the attitude we should have in the face of a crisis.

There is something called repentance. Repentance is much more than simply acknowledging wrongdoing; it is a change in thinking and heart that brings a new perspective on God, oneself and the world; it involves turning away from sin and turning to God for forgiveness.

In the midst of difficulties, circumstances and you feel that there is no answer to your prayer, do not stop praying, do not stop worshiping, do not stop looking for the only God who always listens, who is always in control of all things, who always has a hope and who always loves you and has something better.

Psalm 45 is a unique psalm. Most versions express this psalm as a love song. Some versions say that Psalm 45 is a wedding song, according to the title. The marriage described in Psalm 45 is a glorious and grand union. It is full of romance, beauty, majesty, but it is a marriage that will never end. It is destined for eternal glory! Psalm 45 shows us a beautiful picture of Christ and His church.

In Psalm 1 we have a contrast, a division of direction, a plea for a deeper, more solid and more productive walk with God. The person who has a close walk with God is called Blessed. So how can we make the most of our walk with God? To make the most of our walk with God, we will need to look carefully at which direction we are going.

The only way we can be the people and the kind of church God wants us to be, and the only way we can stand firm, is to have a posture of kneeling in prayer. So, let us pray at all times, let us pray for one another. Let us pray as we bear one another’s burdens.

When we put on the spiritual armor of God we are protected for the conflict against evil and the evil one. God has given us a divine armor. It only remains for the believer to put it on, to make proper use of what God has provided. When we do so, we will overcome the attack of the enemy and victory will be certain.

Satan opposes believers in many ways, some of them direct and obvious methods and others are indirect and subtle. The promise in God's Word is that in Christ we can become overcomers rather than victims. Through Christ we can stand against Satan, stand firm and resist him successfully. Through the use of the whole armor of God and the practice of the spiritual disciplines, we find not only protection but victory in this spiritual conflict.

Christianity today has become too comfortable. Christians don’t recognize that we are in a spiritual war. A Christian who decides to just be comfortable, have a fun social life, etc. is of no use in the army of God. Not only will he or she suffer the losses of the battle, but also his or her family and the church where they congregate.

Jesus showed the women who sought Him at the tomb that He could give them something more, something better than what they were looking for. Don't let the rocks in life be obstacles to meeting the risen Jesus, our schedules, busyness, activities or demands. Jesus is willing to move the stone for you if you are willing to meet Him.

Whatever our workplace, we all have a boss over us or a worker under us. So whether you are a boss or a worker, a student or a teacher, a leader or someone who serves voluntarily, whatever your position, these verses apply to you and me. And as a Christian, Christian boss or Christian worker, we have a calling from God.

Christ did not die just for us to become great parents or great children. Christ died for us because each one of us, children and parents, have the greatest need, the salvation of our souls. Once He becomes our Lord, we must give control to the Holy Spirit, only then we will become better parents and develop better children.
