“Watching Orion” by Steve Adams The year I graduated university was an exciting time for me as my whole life was starting. I used to jokingly say it was, “the end of outcome and the start of income”. A local family had taken me in and would have me over for Sunday lunch or take me to museums. I tutored their 5 kids and am friends with them to this day. With that excitement also came a sadness knowing I would leave the family. One evening, we were out back visiting. The dark starlit sky was bordered by large old oak trees. As we were enjoying this last evening, I looked up and saw the constellation Orion. I called the kids over, pointed it out to them and explained that if they saw Orion, there was a good chance I was looking at it too. Years passed and we managed to keep in touch. I was talking to one of the kids on social media who now works in the Virgin Islands and he mentioned seeing Orion. He wondered if I was looking at it too. I probably was. Feb 25 America is Steeped in Fraud Last month, when we learned that the Somalis in Minnesota have defrauded the state out of $9 billion. I was shocked that Americans weren't more angry. And it reminded me of a wife who's been beaten so often by her husband that she doesn't complain anymore. Why is fraud that's killing our country now accepted? The USA has so much fraud that it rivals countries in the sub-Saharan Africa. For instance, let's look at fraud on eBay. Someone sold a computer, received the dough, but never shipped it. The customer complained, eBay kicked the scammer off. So what did the scammer do? He got a different name, address, credit card, account number, and rejoined eBay. But in America's welfare systems, foreign aid to other countries and so on, fraud is in the tens of billions every year. And it's killing America. Feb 26 KKK Democrats It shocks me that Americans don't know that the Democrat Party, since 1829, has fought every idea to improve the lives of former slaves. Before the Civil War, the Democrat Party defended slavery, fought in the Civil War to preserve slavery. They founded the Ku Klux Klan, they reinforced the Jim Crow laws, imposed segregation, lynchings, and they fought against the Civil Rights Act of 1866 through 1968, as well as the Voting Rights Act of 1965. All civil rights bills were written by and promoted by Republicans. They were founded as the anti-slavery party. So for the last 150 years, Republicans proposed and supported each and every civil rights legislation. We've had to fight the Democrats all through this. Feb 23 Helping people? Or stroking egos? Beginning about 50 years ago, I've been able to make charitable donations to the causes that I admired. I discovered that one dollar to a charity that was focused on Christ, and the instructions from Christ to help his people - the poor, the marginalized. One dollar to that organization generally beats about a thousand dollars that's handled by the state. Look at California. The homeless population there is still about 200,000 people living on the street. Why? They're afraid to go into any of the homeless shelters that are run by vicious drug dealers. How much did California spend on those homeless centers? 30 billion dollars. With no real oversight. But liberals feel good making other people give up their money even though it's going to be totally wasted. Have you noticed how liberals like their egos stroked rather than actually helping people? Feb 24 Useful idiots VS ICE George Orwell's book, 1984, is the dystopian future for the world by following socialism. It was written as a warning, but the liberal left is using it as a blueprint to enslave America and western civilization with it. 1984 should be required reading for all college kids and high school kids to see they're demonstrating on behalf of a nightmarish future. In 1984, there were Two Minutes of Hate, a daily session where all the people are forced to watch a film depicting the party's enemies while expressing intense, uncontrollable hatred. Like the Democrats have trained useful idiots to scream at ICE officers without fully understanding why they're doing it. Feb 19 Judges say they are the President Federal Judge James Boasberg of the District Court for the District of Columbia issued a ruling on Thursday that Trump must return all those illegals that he sent back to Venezuela last December. The judge appears to believe that he, rather than the president, runs American foreign policy. Mr. Trump shipped out 137 illegals from Venezuela because they had ties to the Aragua gang, the most violent people on Earth, and the judge tried to block them from being sent back. Judge Boasberg said the government has to cover the costs of bringing them back and that these gang members get to fight extradition. Well, the thing is they're here illegally. It's not just that they're gang members and that they kill people, and they rob and they rape, but they're here illegally. Chemistry Class I attended high school in the early 80’s. During my freshman year, the school started offering Advanced Science courses and I negotiated with my guidance counselor to skip Biology, take Chemistry a year early and have a science slot open for my Senior year. The plan worked and I was the lone sophomore taking a junior level class. Naturally, that made me a target and I found myself the recipient of many of the good-natured pranks that year. As the school year closed, our class was begrudgingly cleaning the lab. We were organized into groups cleaning beakers and storing supplies for summer. At some point, Mr. L called me to the supply room to “help” lift something. When I got there, to my amazement, he had prepared a 5-gallon bucket with water and loaded it with large syringes. I knew from his smile what his intent was and I carried the bucket out and proceeded to strategically soak my junior level classmates. Feb 16 Why are transsexuals so angry Transexuals had been making the news lately. In Tennessee, a transsexual who was actually a woman shot up in elementary school, killed a bunch of kids. A group of transsexual men and women tried to assassinate a group of ICE agents, but ended up just killing some illegal immigrants. Charlie Kirk's murderer was a transsexual, and then last week in Canada, a transsexual man who thought he was a woman, shot up a school and killed a bunch of kids and his own family. The media isn't referring to these people as transsexuals. In fact, the Canadian press called the transsexual shooter a "gun person in a dress!" I think they're grasping for straws. Feb 17 Cheap selfish Democrat voters An article by Michael Smith taught me how cheap Democrats and liberals can be, and they disguise it with total dishonesty. There's three levels of involvement: Sympathy, empathy, and compassion. Sympathy is feeling for someone. You recognize hardship from a safe place, or maybe you vote for someone who will give them money. Empathy, you feel for someone. You have their emotional experience, and you share pain. But compassion is the synthesis of both. It means you observe, you experience, and you act. And acting isn't voting for a Democrat who will make other people give away their money to help somebody that you care for. There's no honor whatsoever in voting for a Democrat who will give away other people's money. But the most selfish of Democrats pat themselves on the back for voting for other Democrats. Feb 18 Dems defunding our security United States Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania surprises me more every day by how conservative and constitutional he is. His loyalty to the Constitution outshines a whole lot of Republicans I know. Democrats left town so they didn't have to vote on whether to fund Homeland Security, which includes ICE. They want ICE agents identified. You know, for later retaliation. But here's what Fetterman said, "Shutting down the Department of Homeland Security has zero impact and zero changes for ICE. ICE already has $75 billion in funding and will continue. But it will hit FEMA, the Coast Guard, the TSA, and our cybersecurity agency. Feb 12 Judges with TDD Americans in many small towns in the red states watched newcomers destroy their peace and quiet as the Biden regime flew in hundreds of thousands of Haitians, gave them temporary protective status, and far more money than they know what to do with. In all, over his four-year term Biden imported over half a million Haitians. Thing is, they were deposited overwhelmingly as a means to punish Trump and to turn those foreigners into Democrat voters and destroy American culture. "Thunder Snow" by Steve Adams Our region is getting pummeled with Winter weather today. My friend is a meteorologist and we were talking about the storm when he mentioned "Thunder Snow." My first experience with this occurred in the 1980’s. I had been feeding hay to the cattle and it was snowing heavily. We always let the cows in the barnyard in bad weather, so the actual feeding was not a challenge, but getting to and from the barn was. Being the typical teen, I finished my task, gathered my sled and headed out for some fun. With about 2 feet of snow and no packed trail, the sledding was not successful, so I put that away and was standing on the barn bridge in total frustration. The snow was surrounding me as it fell and the world was near silent save the pitter patter of the flakes. In a flash, the snow lit up bright purple and a nearly instant clash of thunder shook me. Feb 9 Nearly all humans live on stolen land I'm hearing a lot of talk from the anti-ICE demonstrators about how we're all immigrants and that we live on stolen land. That all Americans, and all humans over the world, live on stolen lands. For instance, here in America, the Sioux took the land from the Cheyenne, who took it from the Kiowa, who took it from the Pawnee, who took it from the Crow, who took it from the Arakara. The victors not only took the land, they enslaved their enemies. There's no incident on Earth where one tribe didn't overcome another tribe by superior tactics or weaponry. In our case, it was the European tribe versus the American tribe. And by the way, all nations fought to keep the invaders out. You can't condemn America without condemning all of mankind. Feb 10 Judges ruled Biden won The election investigator, Cleta Mitchell, reports, on the morning of November 4, 2020, Rafton-Burger said Trump led Georgia by 103,000 votes with only 94,000 ballots left, but four days later, there were 300,000 more ballots, including 148,000 absentee ballots from Fulton County. That's 25,535 more ballots than voters, more than double Biden's margin of victory. Over 133,000 ballot images were deleted. NONE, zero of the 148 Fulton County tabulators had the required tapes. Feb 11 Volunteer or go to prison Question. Is something voluntary if you're going to be jailed if you don't do it? Hundreds of thousands of Canadians can face prison time if they don't turn in their prohibited guns under a supposedly "voluntary" gun buyback program. That is testing the strength of Canada's bureaucratic regime. Since May 2020, the Canadian government has attempted to institute a massive assault-style firearms compensation program that will trade cash, at least a little, for prohibited guns. If Canadians don't turn in the prohibited gun by October this year, they could face five years in prison. These programs face massive pushback from provincial leaders and gun rights organizations who say it will disarm only the law-abiding Canadians. I have some news.
