Rina Antonucci is a Montrealer whose family vacation in Dublin turned into a nightmare when the Air Canada flight attendants’ strike left them stranded overseas. Their return flight was cancelled, and after being unable to secure assistance from Air Canada or even the Canadian embassy, Rina and her family endured a prolonged stay, booking expensive last-minute hotels, and eventually arranging alternate flights at a cost of approximately $10,000 out of pocket.
