He never moved when she was thrown at His feet. He sat in the uncomfortableness of it all. Can you sit with others in the consequences of their actions? Not to condone or approve, but to love them where they are at?

It's easy to say what you would do in a certain circumstance without going through it, it's much harder to actually be in the situation having to make the decision.

As things go bump in the night and cabinet doors open and close Dorothy was trying every witchcraft trick in the book to be free from the spirits bouncing around her house.

What you will hear about today is truly the result from the bite of the spirits Dorothy was tangled up with. You will also hear about auras and how a familiar, or family, spirit can present these to the next generation from a parents iniquity in hating God to serve another god. This is why when she turned towards God and accepted Jesus as her Lord and savior the delusion was removed from her eyes and she was no longer able to see auras from that point on.

Today is a Red Tent conversation ~ From Trauma To Temptation, and we are going to hear part 2 of Interview with a vampire redeemed by Jesus where we continue the conversation with Dorothy a former pagan practicing witchcraft specifically vampirism. You will hear today about her marriage that started the blood drinking journey, casting spells, and demonic communion. This is not explicit but is considered mature audience content. You will hear how she woke up one day with a taste for blood. I firmly believe this was specifically due to the soul ties with the warlock she was married to. An understanding scripturally of soul ties are found in Genesis 2:24 “For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and be joined to his wife and they shall become one flesh” Matthew 19:5 reiterates this scripture and Mark 10:8 “and the two shall become one flesh so they are no longer two but one flesh.” This is not simply a sexual union though that is how we best see it expressed. It is our very souls influencing and mingling together as one because of covenant relationship. This is also why the Bible states that we should not be unequally yoked in 2 Corinthians 6:14. This applies to friendships as well which was clearly demonstrated in part 1 of this interview in how Dorothy started her journey due to her friendship with a practicing witch. Hopefully this will help you understand what was happening to Dorothy as she walks us through this section of her testimony.

I have had the privilege to walk with her through much of her coming back to Jesus process. Dorothy had a Damascus road experience where the Lord radically encountered her in her home and she gave her life back to Jesus. She walked away from a life steeped in the occult and witchcraft. Today's episode is going to focus on her childhood trauma and how she was introduced to the occult.

The idea for Red Tent conversations was birthed out of the desire to counter the radical feminist lies about the Bible, its historical stories, and femininity perpetrated by a book of lies called the red tent. Red Tent conversations are what I would imagine Biblical women would have in private that we can now through the wonder of technology have public!
