Thanks for jo inging me for a bonus, special prophetic edition of the podcast. … On August 28th, while driving to an appointment, I was crying out to the Lord for many in my circle who have been hit with disappointment and discouragement. I was even lamenting over my own problems and struggles with disappointment and discouragement from the previous weeks. For many, the challenges seem to keep intensifying week after week, and there seems to be no justice or relief in sight. I was seeking to know God’s heart and get direction and, yes, correction if needed. I and others I so desperately love and care for need to see God move or respond. We need a breakthrough. After pouring all this out, I was left with no more words to speak, and I drove in silence, waiting for a response. I was waiting, but honestly, I wasn’t expecting a quick response. Then suddenly I heard: When the enemy comes in like a flood, I (God), ALWAYS raise a standard!” God’s response to my lamenting is found in Isaiah 59:19. Upon reading the entirety of Isaiah 59 I knew this is a RIGHT NOW Word, not just for America, but for the Nations. I have been in prayer, processing what the Lord has been speaking to me regarding this passage of scripture. I highly encourage you to read Isaiah 59 in its entirety in a few different translations. As you read, ask God to speak to you and show you even more revelation about the time and season we are in and are about to enter. BUT – we must be careful to discount something because: 1. We don’t understand it 2. Because others misuse or abuse the terminology 3. It’s associated with bad/wrong/off nutty people or beliefs. Instead, we must go to Scripture. We must be diligent to not allow our own spiritual, religious, or legalistic mindsets to get in the way. We must discern and test…everything. 1st, 2nd, 3rd Heaven terminology has gotten a bad rap because people misuse it to make themselves sound more important/special or super spiritual. Some have used it to build their platforms and create whole ideologies around themselves or a concept. This is dangerous. So what does Scripture actually say about 1st, 2nd, 3rd Heaven? Probably the one people use most when talking about the heavens, particularly the 3rd heaven, is 2 Corinthians 12:2. Paul says, “I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body, I do not know—God knows.” But there are plenty more scriptures.
