Spirit Led Life // Part 4: Your Relationship with the Bible [LIVE]

7/22/2024
In Part 4 of his series "Spirit Led Life" Pastor Daniel Stevens explores why some Christians risk their lives for the Bible while others neglect it. He emphasizes the importance of reading, believing, and practicing the Scriptures, referencing John 8:31-32. Pastor Daniel outlines four steps: Believe, Do, Know, and Free, applying them to loving enemies as taught in Matthew 5:43-48. He warns against common pitfalls such as neglecting Bible reading, treating it as a mere religious duty, seeking rules over wisdom, and accumulating head knowledge without heart change. Pastor Daniel encourages believers to see the Bible as a map to God, not God itself, and to seek wisdom and the heart of God rather than legalistic rules. He stresses the importance of a heartfelt connection with God and warns against the dangers of dead religion. #BibleRelationship #SpiritualGrowth #FaithInAction #PastorDanielStevens #ChristianLiving #LoveYourEnemies #ScriptureWisdom [ Video Version ] / [ Sermon Notes ] [ Daily Devotions with Pastor Daniel ] STAY CONNECTED Daily Devotionals with Pastor Daniel: http://goodhope.ag/devotions Sermon Podcast: https://sermons.goodhope.ag Instagram: http://instagram.com/goodhopemn Facebook: http://fb.com/goodhopemn

Spirit Led Life // Part 3: Faith

7/13/2024
In "The Spirit Led Life: Part 3," Pastor Daniel Stevens delves into the critical quality of faith for living a Spirit-led life. Building on last week's theme of hearing from God, he explores Matthew 14:22-33, where Jesus walks on water and Peter steps out of the boat in faith. Pastor Stevens emphasizes the importance of replenishing our spiritual energy by spending time with God, as it’s hard to maintain faith when we are spiritually dry. He points out that faith is not just a vague belief but is specifically about who we place our faith in—God. Just as Peter trusted Jesus and walked on water, we are encouraged to find what God is doing and believe in His promises. Pastor Daniel reminds us that faith involves stepping out and taking risks, much like Peter did, instead of staying in the boat with the other disciples. He acknowledges the obstacles and "giants in the land" that challenge our faith but encourages us to persevere, as overcoming these obstacles is a part of our faith journey. The sermon concludes with a call to action: believe God for something today, whether big or small, and trust in His promises. For those who have been hurt or disappointed in their faith journey, Pastor Daniel offers empathy and encouragement, urging them to keep going, as God honors and loves their faith. Spirit Led Life // Part 2: Hearing from God [LIVE]

7/8/2024
Welcome back to our series on living a Spirit-led life! In Part 2, Pastor Daniel Stevens continues to explore the essential practice of hearing from God. Drawing from Romans 8:1-17 and rich personal anecdotes, Pastor Mike provides practical guidance on how to discern God's voice in our daily lives. In this sermon, Pastor Daniel emphasizes the importance of learning to listen for God's voice rather than trying to force communication. He shares his story of recognizing dreams from God and challenges us to avoid common mistakes, such as assuming we can't hear from God, focusing on negatives, being impatient, mistaking emotions for the Spirit’s leading, mixing the Spirit’s guidance with human ideas, and taking the path of least resistance. Instead, Pastor Daniel advises us to always evaluate against Biblical truth, engage in intentional prayer, fasting, Spirit-led giving, and to be obedient quickly. He encourages us to pray and seek wisdom from God, believing in His promise to guide us. Thank you for watching. May you grow in your ability to hear God's voice and live a Spirit-led life! #SpiritLedLife #HearingFromGod #PastorDanielStevens #Romans8 #ChristianSermon #FaithJourney #HolySpirit #ChurchOnline #Inspiration #BiblicalTeaching #SpiritualGrowth [ Video Version ] / [ Sermon Notes ] [ Daily Devotions with Pastor Daniel ] STAY CONNECTED Daily Devotionals with Pastor Daniel: http://goodhope.ag/devotions Sermon Podcast: https://sermons.goodhope.ag Instagram: http://instagram.com/goodhopemn Facebook: http://fb.com/goodhopemn

Spirit Led Life // Part 1 - LIVE

7/1/2024
Last week, we explored Water Baptism. Now, we move forward to discuss the Spirit Led Life. Often, it seems like there are only two options: selfish pleasure seeking or dead religion, both leading to negative outcomes. But there is a third, much better option: the Spirit Led Life, offering true fulfillment beyond the emptiness of dead religion and the pain of selfish living. I've experienced all three paths. While I led a relatively boring life, I understand selfish pleasure and the entanglements of dead religion, which often leads to bureaucracy and conflicts. However, my early walk with God involved prayer, Bible reading, and daily communication with Him. This Spirit-led journey inevitably led me to church, where the challenge is to keep it God-focused rather than organization-focused. Jesus exemplifies the Spirit Led Life, as shown in Matthew 4:1-11, where He overcame wilderness temptations through His connection with God. Romans 8:1-17 emphasizes the freedom and guidance found in living by the Spirit, particularly in verses 8:2, 8:9, and 8:14. If you feel stuck between two bad options, it’s time to embrace the Spirit Led Life. This path offers true fulfillment and spiritual growth. Let's seek the Spirit Led Life together, praying to be filled with the Spirit and to walk in His steps, as highlighted in Ephesians 5:15-16. #SpiritLedLife #SaturdaySermon #FaithJourney #ChristianLiving #SpiritualGrowth #WaterBaptism #JesusExample #Romans8 #Ephesians5 #PastorDanielStevens #ChurchLife #LivingByTheSpirit [ Video Version ] / [ Sermon Notes ] [ Daily Devotions with Pastor Daniel ] STAY CONNECTED Daily Devotionals with Pastor Daniel: http://goodhope.ag/devotions Sermon Podcast: https://sermons.goodhope.ag Instagram: http://instagram.com/goodhopemn Facebook: http://fb.com/goodhopemn

The Sermon on the Mount // Part 7 - LIVE

5/26/2024
Welcome to Part 7 of our series, "Seeing Others Through God’s Eyes." This message focuses on dealing with cognitive bias, based on Matthew 7:1-6, 12. Jesus' teaching, "Judge not, that you be not judged," urges us to reflect on how we judge others, knowing that our judgments can influence our own eternal outcomes. Instead of engaging in straw man arguments, we're encouraged to help others build their strongest cases and seek truth over simply winning debates, following James 1:19. Matthew 7:3-5 addresses our tendency to overlook our flaws while criticizing others. Jesus uses the metaphor of specks in our eyes to urge honesty about our shortcomings. This honesty, along with responsibility and personal growth (Ephesians 4:22-24, Philippians 2:12-13), allows us to genuinely help others. Matthew 7:6 reminds us to be wise and discerning, protecting our relationship with God. The Golden Rule in Matthew 7:12 sums it up: by seeing things from others' perspectives, we can eliminate biases. #FaithJourney #SeeingThroughGodsEyes #Matthew7 #GoldenRule #Judgment #GraceAndTruth #ChristianLiving #BiblicalWisdom #PersonalGrowth #SpiritualWisdom [ Video Version ] / [ Sermon Notes ] [ Daily Devotions with Pastor Daniel ] STAY CONNECTED Daily Devotionals with Pastor Daniel: http://goodhope.ag/devotions Sermon Podcast: https://sermons.goodhope.ag Instagram: http://instagram.com/goodhopemn Facebook: http://fb.com/goodhopemn
