His brothers are astonished by the turn of events, but the worst, and best, is yet to come. Because of the famine, Jacob sends ten of his sons to buy grain from Egypt while Benjamin, the youngest, stays behind. In Egypt, Joseph's brothers do not recognize him. As a ruse, Joseph accuses them of being spies to get them to bring Benjamin to Egypt. He keeps Simeon as hostage while the remaining brothers travel back to Canaan.
