Why Are You Cast Down, O My Soul? Psalms 42:1-11 There are several reasons why people fall into depression. Some have lost loved ones that are no longer with. Some have lost their health, no longer can they do what they used to do, some have lost their wealth,, and no longer can buy the things that they would like. But if you have been saved, you have not lost the Lord, even though you’re feeling down. Look up, let God lift you up by his wonderful love.

Christmas according to Matthew Matthew 1:16-25 My prayer is that you would not be so dogmatic about the day, And be right in your mind, but wrong in your heart. Let your heart be filled with joy that God sent his only begotten son, the savior of the world. Can you say hallelujah? Praise be to God for the wonderful birth of Jesus Christ.

O Lord, Be Gracious to Me Psalms 41:1-13 God almighty looks down from heaven and sees how we treat other people. If we look at the poor and look down upon them, or we look at the sinner and say there’s no help for them, we lift up ourselves above them, and God sees it. But if we humble ourselves and be like Jesus, and help the brokenhearted, heal the sick, and yes, raise the dead by giving them the gospel. Then God will look down upon us and will surely bless us.

My Help and My Deliverer Psalms 40:1-17 God is able to turn things around. David was in a horrible pit, but God reached down and pulled him out and put him upon a solid rock. Sometimes we get stuck in the mud. We can’t pull ourselves out. We need help, I believe, if we cry unto God. When we’re stuck in the mud, he will pull us out and put our feet upon his rock, which is Jesus Christ.

What Is the Measure of My Days? Psalms 39:1-13 When to speak, when not to speak? Jesus taught, “Cast not your pearls before swine.” I believe he was saying, “Hold your words. They will just trample them under their feet, but there is a time when the Holy Ghost grants power to speak boldly to proclaim the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. Lord, please grant us discernment today that we may be a blessing to others and what we say and what we don’t say.”

Do Not Forsake Me, O Lord Psalms 38:1-15 If you or I were to stand at the bed of this man, how could your heart not be moved with compassion? It seems that his whole world fell out beneath him, but praise God he reached out his hand unto God. God heard him and gave him hope that he would be delivered from all his troubles. Hallelujah! Will you reach out your hand to touch the hand of God today?

He Will Not Forsake His Saints Psalms 37:1-9 Trust in the LORD, and do good; Delight thyself also in the LORD; Commit thy way unto the LORD Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him Cease from anger, and forsake wrath If we follow these holy instructions, we will have the peace of God in our hearts. Don’t be like a dead fish, floating downstream. Be like a mighty salmon fighting your way through the currents. Remember that we’re on a journey to see God face-to-face.

How Precious Is Your Steadfast Love Psalms 36:1-12 “How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings” The unrighteous never see the lovingkindness of God, but those that love his righteousness that come to him by faith and repentance we see God‘s lovingkindness. We know God‘s lovingkindness, and we feel God‘s lovingkindness.

Great Is the Lord Psalms 35:11-16 This passage reminds me of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He came as the lamb of God. He dwelled among religious leaders of the day that mocked him, but he prayed for them and said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” I think that we should follow his example.

Taste and See That the Lord Is Good Psalms 34:1-10 I’m reminded of the story of Joseph, how he was sold by his brethren, how he was betrayed by Potipherah’s wife, cast into prison, but God was with him, and God bless him. Stay steadfast. After God, you will see his mighty hand upon you.

The Steadfast Love of the Lord Psalms 33:1-9 The heathen, when they look around, see only sin, death, and destruction, and they blame it all on God. They say, “If God was a loving God, why would this be happening?” But when the righteous look around, they see the goodness of Jehovah. We wake up in the morning and see the sun and the goodness of God. We listen to the birds. We look at the beautiful children that God has given us. How do you view what is around you and who is around you? It will determine a lot about you.

Blessed Are the Forgiven Psalms 32:1-11 It’s a wonderful thing to be forgiving of all your sins, and through the blood of Jesus Christ and faith in his blood, we have been forgiven. Oh, give thanks to the Lord. Let us love the Lord. Let us praise his wonderful name.

Into Your Hand I Commit My Spirit Psalms 31:1-10 If you would take an inventory of David’s troubles, they would be many: enemies on every side, troubles within his soul, but he always found a way to God. When you look at all his troubles, your heart will be sad, but when you look at how great his God is, your heart will rejoice. Let us follow his example.

Joy Comes with the Morning Psalms 30:1-12 I believe David is suggesting that if we stay strong during tough times, we’ll overcome our challenges Let us keep our eyes on the Lord today in our hearts tuned into his word. Let us have hope, faith, and peace of mind that God will turn things around. Amen.

Ascribe to the Lord Glory Psalms 29:1-11 What will be our focus for today? Will it be on ourselves or upon our great God? If we focus upon God, He will give us strength. He will give us peace, and that is what we need to make it through the day. Meditate upon this psalm. Take time to give glory to God today.

The Lord Is My Strength and My Shield Psalms 28:1-9 The LORD is my strength and my shield. Let’s think about this today: if you had a shield but had no strength to lift the shield, or if you had strength but had no shield. Can you see they go together? We are in a spiritual warfare. We fight not against flesh and blood; let us put on the whole armor of God today.

The Lord Is My Light and My Salvation Psalms 27:1-14 Oh, how we need the light of the Lord in this dark and dreary world. They offer no comfort; they offer no real joy. Everything is temporal. The world will offer sensuality, but hallelujah, Jehovah God through his Son Jesus Christ offers true salvation, true light, true comfort, true joy, true peace. Call upon the name of Jesus today. Trust him with all your heart; trust him in every situation. Meditate upon this psalm; your heart will be overwhelmed. Give thanks unto our God, our great King. Amen.

The voice of Thanksgiving Psalms 26:1-12 How can we find the voice of Thanksgiving? Let’s start by thinking about the loving kindness of Jehovah God. He gave his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to us. We should meditate on his truth, which will fill us with faith, hope, joy, peace, and love. We also need to separate ourselves from sin, selfishness, and pride. These things will steal our voice. So, let’s embrace Thanksgiving and find the strength to speak truth.

Teach Me Your Paths Psalms 25:1-13 David said, “Show me, teach me, and lead me.” Oh, what a lesson for every Christian to desire to have her eyes open to have an obedient will to be led by the Lord to have our understanding enlightened by the power of the Holy Ghost. The Christian can experience all these blessings. Thank you, heavenly Father, for your Son Jesus Christ. We come before your presence today with Thanksgiving. Amen. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord.

The King of Glory Psalms 24:1-10 Oh, that we would lift up our heads in our hearts to the King of Glory. He is mighty, he is righteous. He is worthy of praise. Let us bow down before him today and humble ourselves, that his mighty hand would lift us up out of all our troubles. Thank you, mighty God. Glory hallelujah to your wonderful name. At the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow, every tongue shall confess that he is the Lord of glory.
