Where the corners of the walls met, those stones overlapped, holding the building together. They were called the "cornerstones." To leave out the cornerstone, was to allow the building to collapse. Jesus is the Chief Cornerstone when it comes to our faith. It is He who holds us together and yet, many people rejected Him. Just like the building needs the cornerstones to stand so we need Christ.
