Stumbling into Infinity

Michael Fischman seemed an unlikely candidate to play a founding role in a global spiritual movement and become a close friend of the renowned spiritual master Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. A New Yorker working on Madison Avenue, he was searching for answers that professional success could not provide. That search would change the course of his life and give him a front-row seat to the early years of a movement that would eventually reach millions. His journey takes him from an Orthodox Jewish childhood and periods of intense self-discovery to India, where he finds himself drawn into the remarkable world surrounding the spiritual master known affectionately as Gurudev. What is it like to become close to an enlightened master? What happens behind the scenes, and what does that relationship demand from someone with ordinary fears, flaws, and insecurities? With honesty, warmth, and humor, Fischman recounts the unexpected experiences, painful lessons, and moments of profound transformation that changed the course of his life. Stumbling Into Infinity is an intimate spiritual memoir about seeking truth, confronting oneself, and discovering how much more life can hold when we become open to something greater. “Michael Fischman’s journey reveals how fears and negative emotions can be transformed into love, compassion, and higher consciousness when a student has an authentic relationship with a wise teacher.” —Deepak Chopra Duration - 8h 58m.
