Last this AM, atop the 9 o'clock hour, Jim and Dan talk to David Eisenhower, grandson of Dwight Eisenhower, son-in-law of President Nixon, and namesake of Camp David. David talks about the protests and riots occurring across the country and forecasts the 2024 election results in his home, battleground state of Pennsylvania.

Despite some concerns that the fearless leader of Richmond's Morning News would miss his call in, the great John Reid managed to check in with us after all! Jim and John talk about his Egypt trip, the ongoing college riots, and the failure of Democrats to condemn the unrest.

Atop the 8 o'clock hour, Jim talks to former Congressman -- and current Liberty University Vice President -- Dave Brat! Jim and Dave discuss the recent workings of Congress and lament the condition of the national deficit and debt.

Next up this AM, at the bottom of the 7 o'clock hour, is former State Senate President Pro Tempore and longtime Hobgood family friend John Chichester. Given the wrangling between Republicans and Democrats on Capitol Square about the state budget, Jim talks to "Uncle John" about his legislative negotiating experiences -- and his insights regarding the current situation.

Happy "Friday Eve," listening family!!! Today, we have another rather special guest host: "FOPD" -- Father of Producer Dan -- Jim Hobgood! A former candidate for Congress and host of the radio show Hoos Talking, Jim starts off our slate of interviews for the day with a conversation with former State Senator and friend of the show Joe Morrissey. Jim and Joe discuss the protests/riots breaking out at college campuses across the country, and Joe (a longtime attorney of course) offers further analysis of President Trump's criminal trial in New York.

Finally this AM, Governor McDonnell talks to Richmonder Chris LaCivita -- who is now President Trump's 2024 Co-Campaign Manager. Chris talks to Governor McDonnell about the state of the campaign and the seemingly endless "lawfare" (as the term has been coined) that President Trump is facing thanks to the institutionally entrenched Far Left.

At 9:15AM -- well, our time -- Governor McDonnell receives a special call from the fearless leader of Richmond's Morning News . . . John Reid! Governor McDonnell and John talk all about his ongoing Egypt trip (which sounds as though it's been amazing fun).

Atop the 9 o'clock hour this morning, Governor McDonnell hears from Barry DuVal, President and CEO of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce. Along with Governor McDonnell, Barry discusses the Chamber's 100th anniversary.

At the bottom of the 8 o'clock hour, Governor McDonnell talks to Aubrey Layne, Chairman of the Port of Virginia. Governor McDonnell and Aubrey talk about Virginia's various ports of entry -- and about the ripple effects from the bridge collapse in Baltimore this past March.

Atop the 8 o'clock hour, and following a conversation with one statewide official, Governor McDonnell talks another: Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears! Among other topics, LG Sears discusses her recent trip to the country's southern border and Brown v. Board of Education.

Joining Governor McDonnell -- in studio -- at the bottom of the 7 o'clock hour is our Attorney General of Virginia, Jason Miyares! Governor McDonnell and Attorney General Miyares continue to talk about the theme of the hour, education -- reflecting on the Brown v. Board of Education decision and the ongoing protests and riots on college campuses across the country.

Next up, still in the first half of the 7 o'clock hour, is George Martin, former Rector of the University of Virginia (from which he graduated). A Bob McDonnell appointee, Rector Martin talks to the Governor about the recent campus protests and riots, as well as about the anniversary of the Supreme Court's Brown v. Board of Education ruling.

Next up this AM, for the start of an "Education Hour," we hear from Brad Lingo, Dean of the School of Law at Regent University. Governor McDonnell and Dean Lingo address the topics of jurisprudence (a fancy word for legal philosophy) and Constitutional Law during their thoughtful, on-air conversation.

Happy Hump Day, listening family! Today, we are fortunate to have former Governor Bob McDonnell sitting in for John -- and first up this morning, Governor McDonnell welcomes his good friend (and Producer Dan's), former Virginia House of Delegates Speaker Bill Howell. Governor McDonnell and Speaker Howell -- who for some time were in the House of Delegates together -- contrast the temperament of the legislature then versus now, lamenting the changes that have occurred.

Finally this AM, Governor Gilmore has a chat with one of the candidates vying for the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate -- Jonathan Emord. Jonathan discusses his career and why it makes him an ideal opponent to run against current Senator and former Vice Presidential nominee Tim Kaine. Mr. Newt! Atop the 8 o'clock hour, Governor Gilmore welcomes his good friend, former Speaker Newt Gingrich, to the show. Governor Gilmore and Speaker Gingrich enjoy a conversation about numerous political topics relevant to the country and Virginia during this 2024 campaign season.

At the bottom of the 7 o'clock hour, Governor Gilmore talks to President Trump's Ambassador to Mexico -- Chris Landau -- about what he considers the biggest threat to our nation's security: the crisis at the southern border. (In fact, Ambassador Landau indicates that most people crossing the border at this point are foreigners even to Mexico.)

Cue that Hoosiers music. . . . Next up this AM is co-host of Hoos Talking, UVA Basketball legend, and the man who sired Producer Dan -- Jim Hobgood! The Jims talk about the State of the Cavalier Union and forecast what's next for Coach Tony Bennett and his program in Charlottesville.

Happy Tuesday! In for John this morning is another good friend of the show, former Virginia Governor and European Ambassador Jim Gilmore! Just as Governor Allen began his slate of interviews yesterday by checking in with John in Egypt, so too does Governor Gilmore. John tells us all about visiting the tomb of -- King Tut!

Finally this AM, we hear from Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares, who talks to Governor Allen about the Middle East-related protests occurring on so many college campuses this spring.
