Finally this week -- Producer Dan's favorite weekly segment (haha)! Our "Movie Guy," Mike Mayo joins us for a conversation about one of the best movies of all time -- Alfred Hitchcock's North by Northwest, back in theaters this weekend!

Atop the 9 o'clock hour, former Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell joins the show, for a retrospective about Brown v. Board of Education (a decision which is 70 years old as of today).

Former Governor and U.S. Senator George Allen joins us at the bottom of the 8 o'clock hour, and after a brief aside about the just-released NFL schedule, he talks to John about an initiative to restore the old Washington football logo, Virginia's competitiveness among other states (especially in the region), and an appointment as the new Chairman of the Reagan Ranch Board of Governors!

"It's Friday. . . ." This means that Clay Hamner, of Lythos Studios, is with us -- to talk to John all about what folks can do in and around Richmond on this (expected-to-be-rainy!) weekend.

At the bottom of the 7 o'clock hour, Congressman Rob Wittman calls back in to the show -- to talk about everything from Biden's policies, to the House's move to hold Attorney General Garland in contempt, to the fentanyl/border crisis, to Biden Administration policies, to the seemingly aborted VSU Presidential Debate.

Today brings us another edition of "Reid on the Road" -- and with that being the case, first up among our guests for the day is Paige Newman, Curator at John's destination for the day, The Virginia Museum of History & Culture. John and Paige discuss the museum's latest exhibit, dedicated to late chef and cultural phenom Julia Child!

Last this AM, we hear from attorney and former Virginia House of Delegates member Tim Anderson -- who discusses the advent of speed/traffic cameras in Virginia and remarks that their use is especially susceptible to corrupt abuse by government.

Thursday morning, 8:35AM -- this means that former Virginia Governor and European Ambassador Jim Gilmore is back on the show, to discuss national and international politics. Today, Governor Gilmore addresses the shooting of Slovakia's Prime Minister (and its connection to Russian relations). Additionally, Governor Gilmore laments the apparent demise of the scheduled Presidential Debate at Virginia State University, indicating that Biden's refusal to participate at an HBC event sends the wrong message to voters of color.

Atop the 8 o'clock hour this Thursday morning, we check in with James River Air's Hugh Joyce. Hugh talks to John about the high stakes of this election year, addressing the topics of inflation, environmental policy, and international relations, among others -- and indicating that certain positions would be crippling to business and the American economy.

Next up this AM, at the bottom of the 7 o'clock hour, is Mark Tapscott, Senior Congressional Reporter for The Epoch Times. John and Mark talk about the latest news on Capitol Hill, Speaker Johnson's track record thus far, and the prospect of Republican control of Congress come January.

Happy "Friday Eve," listening family! First among John's slate of guests this Thursday is former State Senator and friend of the show Amanda Chase! John and Amanda discuss the recently passed state budget (which Amanda says that she would have voted against), as well as her recent appearance in court, to counter/dispute allegations levied against her.

Finally this Wednesday morning, we hear from longtime House of Delegates member Terry Kilgore. John and Delegate Kilgore enjoy an extended conversation about the General Assembly's budget session earlier this week -- and the compromises that officials made to deliver a finished product. Also: Delegate Kilgore makes his case for Glenn Youngkin as the Republicans' Vice Presidential candidate/nominee.

Atop the 8 o'clock hour this Wednesday morning, we hear from the Commonwealth's Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security, Terry Cole. Following an aside regarding road-blocking/disruptive (")protests("), John and Terry discuss the fentanyl crisis in Virginia -- and the role that security at America's southern border plays in the matter.

Next up this AM, at the bottom of the 7 o'clock hour, is titular host of The Martha Zoller Show -- Martha Zoller! John and Martha, who resides in Atlanta, discuss President Trump's legal woes in Georgia -- and offer speculation about the President's forthcoming selection of a running mate. (Martha thinks that it will be a woman -- but probably not Kristi Noem. . . .)

Happy Hump Day, listening family! First among our guests this morning is someone whom John met at last month's Republican Advance in Norfolk -- Tanveer Kathawalla, Founder and Managing Partner of the national security-oriented venture capital group Pioneer1890. John and Tanveer discuss the subject of what President Eisenhower once famously termed "the military[/defense]-industrial complex," with Tanveer describing how the field works/operates.

Finally this AM, for the latest installment of "Giving Tuesday," John talks to Lisa Harrup, of the Rotary Club of South Richmond (which has a Casino Night event/fundraiser this coming weekend).

At the bottom of the 8 o'clock hour, we check back in with local political activist Paul Goldman, who has filed a lawsuit to try to stop the new ballpark project from proceeding as planned. John and Paul talk about the suit, which is the subject of a court hearing later this week.

Atop the 8 o'clock hour, John has a conversation with his fellow WRVA host and Politics & Pints panelist -- former Ambassador to Belgium Howard Gutman! John and Howard discuss both national and international political issues, with John speculating that the Democrats may yet dump Joe Biden before the party's nominating convention in August.

At the bottom of the 7 o'clock hour, we check in with House of Delegates member Mark Earley Jr., of Midlothian. Now that the legislature and Governor Younkin have passed a state budget, John and Delegate Earley discuss some of the details thereof.
