This week we look at the inefficiencies of petrol cars and search nature for something as equally un-parsimonious with its fuel. We shove Frère Jacques through our anagram poetry section that we call My Taragon Pea. Whilst Barry suggested Electric cars, Sam proffered Friend-zoned and sustained where we look at the hapless characters stuck literally forever in the friend zone. We have another new section where we look at what's happening down on the farm but literally the last section looks at the original agony aunt whose advice was dispensed for a thousand years. This week our Brainy lecture considers Boltzman Brains and shows why, on balance, you probably do not exist. Well, you do, but no one else. The Metamorphosis and The Lobster have the super plastic human mind dealing with absurd propositions whilst still trying to get to work on time. Yorgos Lanthamos was silent about the sauce that would be served with the lobster, but we are serving it with a tangy sorrel sauce. In a Podcasting first we now introduce a podcast with colour, literally with Pantone 448C. Our songs under the Microscope continues its voyage into misheard lyrics. We stress test some common proverbs and found them inaccurate at best and the purveyor of very poor counsel at worst. Finally, we consider how language dictates the rhythm and pace of poetry and prose that can be written. Ian takes exception to the rule that you cannot write a Limerick in French; so he writes one.

It also stops Paul Simon from Slip Sliding Away. We examine the scandalous under treatment of psychological pathologies in Hundred Acre Wood and, helpfully in our view, suggest some interventions. In this week’s podcast for a post stupid society our Brainy Lecture looks at the particle with multiple personality disorder - the neutrino and that forces us to relive the quantum strangeness that we first encountered in Episode 2. We encounter the least practical of all hats when we consider the surprisingly popular Bearskin and learn that it is part of the Uniform of 14 countries’ armies. In Songs under the microscope we compare the legal prowess of various recording artists and we beg them to stop confessing to crimes. Our sauce is the extraordinarily wonderful Cep Coulis. This week’s songs under microscope uses music theory to show that Paul McCartney was ill advised in his use of metaphors in Ebony and Ivory. In literally the last section we investigate the dystopian totalitarian nightmare that is Thomas the Tank Engine and demonstrate why Tony Soprano was a much better boss than the Fat Controller.
