AFC DONScast Pre-season Update #1 / Graham Hunter in Conversation with Jim Goodwin

Matchday 38 - St Mirren

The curtain came down on the 21/22 season for Aberdeen on Sunday with an uninspiring 0-0 draw against St Mirren and we said goodbye to a Dons stalwart, after Andy Considine played for the last time at Pittodrie. It was a massive weekend in the Scottish Premiership as 7 teams were vying for 3 of the top 6 spots. The Dons winless run now extends to 10 games, and still waiting for that elusive win in 2022. Matchday 26 - St Johnstone / Motherwell Preview

Life after Stephen Glass wasn't going to cure our results, and although we pushed St Johnstone and jumped to 8th in the league, it was still a 1-1 draw against the fellow league strugglers. Two games, two losses ultimately led to the sacking of Stephen Glass on Sunday morning, as the Dons are on the search for a new gaffer after the 11 month tenure of Stephen Glass. A draw in Dingwall on Tuesday night, was disappointing given we could have made progress in league as the results elsewhere were in our favour. Making a start in Dingwall was new signing, Vicente Besuijen - he spoke to Mal before the game and we also hear from Academy Director, Gavin Levey who reflects on the progress of Connor Barron.
