American Toffee Awards & The Window Opens

A full week has gone by since the end of the Premier League season and we are already suffering from severe Toffee withdrawals. Luckily for us, we have our end of the season awards to give out and some news nuggets to keep us occupied. We get into recent international call ups from Michael Keane and Richarlison, cover the first transfer rumors, and discuss the seemingly imminent departure of Joao Pedro Sousa, Marco Silva's right hand man.

Launchpad: Silva Sending Blues Upwards

The 2018/2019 Premier League season has come to a close and the Toffees have finished in 8th place with 54 points. There is no disputing the fact that Everton produced a markedly improved style of football and over-arching set of results in comparison to last season. Our 2-2 draw away to Tottenham proved to be another positive result against the "big six" with a couple of unlikely goal-scorers. We discuss all of the positives to take away from the season and talk about the off-season plan...

The Final Preview: Prime Redemption

The season is coming to an end with our final match against Spurs away. This is our chance to finish as strong as possible while giving some players a last chance to impress. We cover some important Everton-related news, give an overview of the PL table, discuss the match, and preview episodes to come.

Goodison Park Goodbye (For Now!)

The last match at Goodison Park for the 18/19 season has concluded with another victory and another clean sheet. An absolutely dominant display was done and dusted by the 20th minute when our tertiary captain Seamus Coleman scored the second goal. As the 90th minute struck, the armband was handed off to our long-standing primary captain Phil Jagielka. We speculate as to the meaning of the substitution...almost in tears. Songs were sung, goals were scored, and Evertonians went home happy once...

The Last Home Match: Bring on Burnley

Tom Davies has signed a new 4 year contract with the club, keeping him on the books until 2023. We discuss how important the 20 year old is for the club's future. We then preview the final home match of the 2018-19 season vs none other than Sean Dyche's Burnley, who have been in great form since the 5-1 thrashing at Turf Moor on Boxing Day.

No End Product: Frustrating Draw vs Palace

Everton managed 22 shots, two-thirds of the possession, and it all amounted to 0 goals. With Wolves picking up all 3 points vs Watford, our hopes for 7th place are just about dashed. We recap the 0-0 draw, pick out the positives, and choose our MOTM.

Europa Beckons: Must Win at Selhurst Park

It’s coming down to the wire folks. Everton have been in tremendous form as of late and we have all to play for heading into the last 3 matches of the season. Selhurst Park shall be no easy feat, but the Blues are fully capable - even without Richarlison, who is potentially out for the match through injury.

Red Devils Thrashed at Lively Goodison

ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?! What a magnificent result for the Blues as they blitzed a clueless Man United 4-0 at Goodison Park. The utter dominance saw Everton score all 4 before the Red Devils were able to muster a single shot on target. Now 3 wins in the last 4 home games, Marco Silva is giving us a long look at what the future could hold with him at the helm, and it's a beautiful sight indeed.

PL2 Champions & Lukaku Return

You’d almost be forgiven for not knowing that Everton’s U23s won the PL2 title this week based on the transitional season the first team is having. We discuss the win and the implications for the EFC youth setup, and how many U23 title-winning players could become successful first teamers. We then talk about the underwhelming performances by the Blues out on loan. In the second half of the show, it’s all to play on Sunday as Man U visit Goodison Park which should see Romelu Lukaku make his...

Flop at Fulham: Consistently Inconsistent

Following Marco Silva's best win as Everton boss, most were hoping for some momentum to be built during the trip to Craven Cottage. Instead, the Toffees played below their relegated opponent's level from the first whistle to the last, managing only 1 shot on target. Unsurprising from this group which has proven they cannot maintain the same levels week in, week out. With our fellow competitors from 7th place also dropping points, we've let another great chance slip through our fingers....

Jagielka Strikes as Gunners Fire Blanks

The sirens roared, Z-Cars played, and Arsenal were bombarded from the first whistle to the last. Marco Silva led the Blues to a third consecutive victory and clean sheet. We talk plenty of MOTM shouts, Phil Jagielka’s performance, team togetherness, Baines the hipster, and giving Bernard a hug.

Gunning for 7th

After a thorough battering of West Ham last weekend at the London Stadium, the Blues return to Goodison Park to face a slightly more formidable Arsenal team who sit 4th in the table. In our match preview we emphasize what a massive asset the arrival of Lucas Digne has been this season, discuss comments made this week by Marcel Brands and Marco Silva, and of course preview tactics, lineup, and scoreline for Sunday's game.

Bubbles Burst: Toffee Domination

James travels to Boston for the My PL Morning Fan Fest and was rewarded with a fantastic Everton performance. The Blues were dominant from start to finish as they looked confident, incisive, and hungry. That is 4 clean sheets and 3 wins in the last 5 matches. We discuss whether Everton should want 7th place and the Europa League Qualifying spot. There is indeed all to play for through the remaining fixtures.

Hammertime: West Ham Match Preview

We welcome Tony from the American West Ham Podcast to preview the match this weekend at London Stadium. This is packed full of tactics, lineups, score predictions, musings on the state of each respective fan base, and lastly a comparison between Richarlison and Felipe Anderson.

DCL Debate & Community Questions

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has all but cemented himself as the starting striker for the rest of the season. We explore his development and performance thus far. We also debate whether or not he could be a mainstay in the side next season. Featuring guest Forest from the Carolina Toffees. Second half of the show is dedicated to questions from our listeners. Everton coming to the States this summer? Mason Holgate as a starter next season? Ideal American signing for the Blues? And much more!

The Drought is Over: Are We Dreaming?

Take whatever Marco Silva said to the Blues at half-time, bottle it up, and apply as needed for the rest of the season. A timid Toffee side looked completely out of their depth in the first 45' against Ciggy-ball. The 2nd half could not have been more different as the team came out hungry and firing on all cylinders. They were rewarded with 2 goals and 3 points against a top 6 side for the first time since Jan '17.

Shutting Down Sarri-ball & Barkley's Return

Last time the Blues took the pitch at Goodison Park, the atmosphere was the best it has been in years. How will the fans react after a depressing capitulation last time out? Forest Landa from Carolina Toffees joins us again to discuss the upcoming match at home against Chelsea. We touch on Marco Silva being charged by the FA, how the Blues can counter Sarri-ball, our preferred lineups, and how Ross Barkley will be received by the Goodison Park faithful.

A Tale of Two Halves: Newcastle Post-Match

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. This also applies to being a faithful Evertonian. A solid week ends in a deflating manner. We discuss tactical changes and player performances at St. James's Park.

Harnessing Momentum & Magpies Tactical Preview

We are excited to welcome Sheyi Davies from Across the Pond Podcast to give an outsider's perspective on the Merseyside Derby draw and it's implications for both teams. He expands on how we can expect the Barcodes to set up and play at St. James Park . Lastly, we cover the ways for Everton to harness the momentum from the last couple fixtures and exploit possible weak points in the astute upcoming opponents.

Playing For The Badge: Derby Draw

The Old Lady was rocking today from the Z-Cars REMIX to the final whistle. The boys in blue put in a shift that was deserving of the crowd support. While we conceded a few good chances in the first half, the team looked resolute throughout and finally seem to be playing with purpose again. Let's hope this match can serve as a springboard for the rest of the season and we can finish things out on a high note.
