This is the last episode of Dorks on Sports. Our Dorks are disappointed to the Seahawks loss to the 49ers in the Wildcard round of the playoffs but they all unanimously agree that the future looks bright. They talk about some of their favorite moments of Wildcard Weekend and predict which teams will make it to the Super Bowl. They give some love to the Kraken who became the first team in NHL history to sweep a 7 game road trip. They dork out for the last time on the pod and thank their 12s of listeners for a great ride. Everything is beautiful now that the Seahawks made it to the post season (with a little help from the Detroit Lions). Our Dorks chat about the team, what they might do in the draft, if they'll sign Geno Smith. They breakdown how the game might go in San Francisco on Saturday and give their predictions. Our Dorks spend a lot of time talking about Damar Hamlin and the scary injury he suffered on Monday Night Football. They give an update on his progress, talk about how the fans have rallied around him and what that means for the sport. They move on to the Seahawks and talk briefly about the blowout win vs. the Jets and whether that is an indication of progress. They discuss the Seahawks chances of getting into the playoffs knowing that they need the Lions to beat the Packers in Green Bay which sends our Dorks down a conspiracy rabbit hole. Daniel dorks out about the God of War video game, Millie just watch season 3 of Jack Ryan, Allanah has some things to say about The Fabelman's, and Curtis just finished the latest season of Barry. Our Dorks talk briefly about the Seahawks loss to the Chiefs and try to divine what that might mean going into next season then quickly give their predictions for how the home game against the Jets will go. Most of the program is devoted to their favorite dorking moments of 2022. Daniel and Curtis share their favorite Seattle sports moments of 2022. Then Allanah and Millie share their top ten tv shows of the year while all four have a lot of fun dorking out about it all. GO HAWKS!

After a loss to division rival San Francisco 49ers, our dorks discuss what they'd like for the Hawks in the next 3 games and predict whether they'll make the postseason or not. They take some schadenfreude delight in the Patriots blunder in the final seconds of their game and the historic collapse by the Colts in theirs. Daniel jumps on the "White Lotus" bandwagon, Millie dorks out about yet another cheesy Christmas movie, while Curtis finally got around to seeing "Wakanda Forever." Happy Holidays and GO HAWKS!

Curtis gives his thoughts on what the defense can do to improve and a debate ensues on whether Clint Hurtt should be back next season if things don't improve. The Dorks then predict the outcome of the Thursday night game vs the 49ers. They then move on to the early offseason moves the Mariners have made and as the fans to simmer down and be patient. Daniel dorks out on Raphael Warnock's Senate win against challenger Herschel Walker in the Georgia Senate runoff election, Curtis has been watching the western "The English" on Amazon Prime, and Allanah has been dorking out on meal planning a multi-course meal for her New Year's Eve party. The Dorks are perplexed by the Seahawks regression and their embarrassing loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. Curtis breaks down his thoughts on their defensive deficiencies. They try to predict how Sunday's game will go against the Rams in LA. Daniel is thrilled that the Kraken have been finding ways to win and have established themselves as a top 5 team in the NHL. Our Dorks debate on whether Penix Jr. should declare for the NFL draft or give it another season at UW. Allanah and Millie give us some World Cup coverage and then our Dorks breakdown what they've been dorking out about this week. GO HAWKS!

The Dorks welcome special guest and friend of the pod Matt Slinger on the show to talk about his experiences in Germany watching the Seahawks take on Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Our Dorks discuss the regression our Hawks had in Germany and debate on whether it's a concerning turn or a small set back. They make their predictions for their home game vs the Las Vegas Raiders after the bye, discuss recent Mariners transactions, Millie talks about her XFL Sea Dragons fandom, and Daniel updates everyone on the results of the Kraken's OT thriller vs the New York Rangers. Curtis dorks about about "The Harder They Fall", Daniel is enjoying Robin Hobb's "Liveship Traders" series, Millie's all in on the witchy series "The Bastard Son & the Devil Himself", while Matt is dorking our on Rachel Maddow's podcast "Ultra". Our dorks continue to be impressed with the wins this Seahawks team is stringing along. They recap the game in Arizona, and talk about the players who are contributing to such an outstanding season. The Kraken get their 5th win in a row to extend their season to 8-4-2 and our dorks talk about the renaissance of Seattle sports and what all of these teams have in common. Curtis is back on the "Andor" bandwagon, Daniel and Millie aren't dorking out on much more than consuming everything they can about Seattle sports, and Allanah has a couple movie recommendations for you. Our Dorks are having as much fun with this Seahawks team as they were with this year's Mariners team. Daniel gets things started praising Shane Waldron's dark arts. The rest of the Dorks are in agreement--this Seahawks defense is nasty and only getting nastier. Millie bets against our Seahawks in the game in Arizona but not for the reasons you think. Our Dorks breakdown the first half of the season and revise some season predictions. Spoiler alert: They're fully on board the bandwagon. Lastly Daniel urges you to vote, Millie is all in on Netflix's "Cabinet of Curiosities", Allanah is in deep with the NXIVM cult true crime series "The Vow" on HBO, and Curtis has some things to say about Big Foot. Millie dorks out about the movie "Secret Headquarters" she caught on her flight home, Allanah doesn't do spooky season but is enamored with CBS's "Ghosts", Daniel IS in the Halloween spirit and is nostalgic for cheesy 80's B-movie horror flicks, and Curtis just wants lightsabers, Wookies, and Space Wizards back in his Star Wars. Our Dorks open the podcast dorking out about the epic 18th inning postseason game against the hated Astros. They compare this Mariners team to the 2012 Seahawks, talk about what is ahead for this team, what the expectations are, and who on the team will lead them to the promised land. They then give credit to the Seahawks defense for making some improvements in their 19-9 win against the Arizona Cardinals. After they give their predictions for week 7 at the Los Angels Chargers they get into some dorking. Daniel and Millie agree that only actual spooky scary movies belong on Halloween--take your sad, sentimental movies disguised as horror and get out of here! Allanah dorks out about trans themed episodes on Last Week Tonight and The Problem with Jon Stewart, Daniel confronts the patriarchy, and Curtis finishes Amazon Prime's "The Rings of Power." Happy birthday, Curtis! The Dorks start the podcast recapping the Seahawks game in New Orleans. They continue to be impressed with Geno Smith's Pro Bowl level play and compliment the team on at least being entertaining to watch. They discuss the jubilation of a 9th inning go ahead run to win to sweep Toronto in the Wild Card round contrasted with the depths of despair when they lose a game by a walk off home run by Houston. Curtis talks about his experience being on the Seahawks documentary series "The Sound" and the Dorks discuss the importance of culture on a team.
