Dingoes - Team of the Century

Since PAFL started back in 2004, there have literally been hundreds of people that have played for the Dingoes in the PAFL. Some of these players have gone on to represent the Philippine Eagles in international Aussie Rules tournaments and have even won All Asian selection. In this weeks episode, Dingoes hardman and long time representative Marcus Wyatt, along with PAFL cofounder Dezza, take a look at who they think are the best players to have played for the Dingoes over the journey. Ciaran Lawless - Pure Irish Lightning

In this episode, we are joined by Ciaran Lawless, one of the best Irish lads to have ever pulled on a PAFL jumper. With gold medals as a junior in Ireland in the 100 metres and 200 metres and a progression through to the Dublin Athletic Championships, Ciaran is a natural athlete who runs like greased lightning. Ciaran also played soccer as a junior and evolved into playing Gaelic footy which culminated in him playing in the European Gaelic Champions team in 2011 in Guernsey in the UK. After reaching Manila in 2013, he joined the PAFL and took up Aussie Rules in which he bamboozled all the Aussies with his speed and skill and his competitive nature to win. He quickly became a much-loved and well-respected member of PAFL and improved in every game he played with the pinnacle being him representing the Philippine Eagles in the 2017 Asian Champs. Ciaran also played Gaelic footy in Asia playing in the China Games and the Gaelic Asian Championships to round off a stunning career of footy in Asia. Jason Flanagan - Malaysian Warriors Champion Goal Sneak

In this week's episode, we speak to Malaysian Warriors legend and goal kicking champion, Jason Flanagan. Flana will go down in history as not only one of the greats of the Warriors, but one of the best players to have ever graced the field in Asia. This highly talented footy star began his sports career playing soccer with Vic country and also Melbourne Croatia in the NSL with a fair level of success before ending up in Malaysia in 2000. From then on, there wasn't much he didn't achieve for the Warriors including 187 games, a couple of B&F's, leading goalkicker 7 times, 6 years as captain, 5 years as president and was a member of the Warriors team in their inaugural 2012 Manila Cup and 2017 Asian Champs victories. Matthew Rutter - Mr President

Tony Evans - The Smiling Assassin of PAFL

Tony "the silver fox" Evans is arguably the most decorated player to have ever pulled on a Philippine Eagles or Eurekas jumper. A former VFL/AFL player with St. Kilda and Footscray, this very talented and loveable larrikin was responsible for bringing a bit of mongrel to the Philippine Eagles as well as polish and class. His knowledge and experience of the game made all his teammates walk taller and gave us the belief that we could go toe to toe with any opponent. With more than 200 games and 3 premierships with East Ballarat under his belt as well as numerous achievements in Masters footy to go hand in hand with his VFL/AFL experience, Evo brought a totally new belief to the team and was an integral of the Philippine Eagles success in 2016 when we claimed the double of the Manila Cup and Asian Championships in the same year. Terry Mahoney - Philippine Eagles Premiership Winning Coach

Manoli “Zorba” Loukas - A Tribute To A Great Mate

He sat on the PAFL committee for a number of years and was responsible for creating a blueprint for the development of PAFL in the early days. He had the ability to make everyone laugh, he had great stories, he was caring, understanding, supportive and loved life and lived it to the fullest. Travis Bull - The Unstoppable Raging Bull

Apart from being a PAFL and Eagles Legend, Travis Bull cemented himself in PAFL history by kicking the winning goal after the siren for the Philippine Eagles first major tournament victory in the 2013 Manila Cup. Helen Mondia-Harvey - Pioneer of Women's Footy in the US & Sacramento Suns Star

Firstly we will take a look at all the non-Aussies that have ever played with PAFL which will culminate in us naming the best non-Aussie PAFL team. Some of the nationalities that have played PAFL over the years include Filipino, British, New Zealanders, American, Irish, Zimbabwean, Danish, Swiss, French, Papua New Guinean, Russian, Fijian and Polish. From all of these nationalities, we pick out the best 13 players to form our best non-Aussie PAFL team. Then we catch up with one of the most unique guests we have had the pleasure of hosting on the PAFL chat podcast, Helen Mondia-Harvey. Helen is a Philippines born, American raised female Aussie Rules player based in Sacramento, California. Helen's Aussie Rules journey began in the early 2000s when she was first exposed to the game in Southern California which led to her playing a few ladies exhibition games at the USAFL nationals. From there, as women's football gained in popularity, she ended up being a founding member of the Sacramento Suns women's team in 2010 and then ultimately, played in the 2014 International Cup in Melbourne for the USA Liberty Team. Then to top it all off, Helen was the assistant coach for the Lady Suns when they won the Division II title in the 2018 USAFL tournament! Simon Beasley - VFL Powerhouse Full Forward of the 80s

Simon Beasley is an Aussie Rules and Footscray legend who kicked more goals than any other player in the VFL/AFL during the 80s. Peter "Bluey" Lawrence - The Ultimate PAFL All Rounder

Peter "Bluey" Lawrence is one of PAFL's most colourful characters, having held a number of positions ranging from Eurekas and Philippine Eagles player, through to umpiring and holding the much-maligned position of Treasurer on the PAFL committee. In this episode, Bluey chats with Dezza and Hammo and recounts his early days playing footy in the Gippsland area which saw him progressing to Sydney where he ended up with two premierships for Sydney University, through to a career move than saw him play in Hong Kong's very first Aussie Rules match in 1988, and then onto the Philippines where he was one of the original PAFL players and committee members.
