This week we take a good long look at how Turner and ESPN are doing with their new broadcast deal with the NHL and take a quick look at how the season has begun. A bit of a technical note. Something happened to Aaron's mic at about the 15 minute mark. The sound was still good enough to be pretty listenable, but there is a definite and noticeable change in sound.

This episode was recorded on Friday, so we do not cover Purdue knocking the #2 out of Iowa, as the tweet says. We do, though, take a look at the Cardinals' surprise change in direction, the Giants' phantom swing, and complain again about the juggernaut sports gambling has become.

This week is looking back at Fury-Wilder 3 and pondering the future of Deontay Wilder after being handed a definitive loss at the end of an awfully valiant effort. Aaron also keeps saying "Brian Kelly" instead of "Brian Kenny" and really having absolutely no clue he's doing it. So some apologies to everyone on that. Otherwise, we also talk about Urban Meyer and the collapse of the White Sox. And there is some slight language involved in this one.

This week we preview and make our picks for the MLB playoffs, as well as taking a maybe more hopeful look at the Colts season. Aaron also spends the episode struggling to keep his anger at the Cubs in check. That's probably a long term project.

This week, we take a long hard look at the Colts' very disappointing start to the season and what they might do to try to turn things around. We also take a look at how Anthony Joshua's surprise loss might shake up the heavyweight division going forward and pick the better QB in some successful succession planning.

This week we look at the Little League World Series, the Padres' nightmare second half, Nebraska still being the new kid, and pivots to video.

This week we look at the Ugas-Pacquiao PPV and look ahead to a couple other attractive boxing cards coming in the fall. We also take a gauge of boxing's health and compare the appeal of boxing against the appeal of MMA.

This week the boys are joined by their dad first to take a quick look at the NCAC's possible replacement and Pacquiao's replacement opponent. Then we take a good long time to talk about baseball movies and what makes them so popular.

Things are back to normal this week while we take a look at the future of the Olympics, the Lafayette Aviators' success, and, of course, the very different fortunes of the Cubs and the White Sox now and in the near future.

This week's episode is a great example of growing pains. We were in a totally different recording environment and setup, and it is very obvious. Please do not take this episode as any sort of representation of our usual standards. This episode very nearly went unreleased, but it marks the podcast debut of our Uncle Charlie, so we felt we had to publish it, even in this state. The content of this episode is no problem at all, just the physical listenability.

This week, the boys are joined by their dad to talk about Cleveland's new name, the US Olympic basketball woes, and the emergence of super conferences in college sports.

This episode is literally Slaughterhouse-Five, done in one sitting, without water or any other drink, and very minimal editing. I did have to cut the stuff between the title page and Chapter 1 as well as theme music to hit the size cut-off.
