RtNP#85 I Wonder if I Can

4/4/2020
Spring is slowly arriving and running gets easier and more enjoyable as days gets longer and warmer. I hope you all are well and up for a run in my neighburhood. Let´s go, and for a short while pretend that things are normal. The woods are, and the getting tired when running fast is.Why not stick to that for a moment and, in a way, escape from stuff together with me. RtNP#84 All About Me

2/9/2020
I am running again and I am enjoying it so much. In order to get my old shape back I am following the Galloway Customized Training Plan. So far everything is going well and the fact that I have a plan to follow and scheduled training to do, has really helped me to be more disciplined. Weekly video chats with my coach Chris Twiggs and a bunch of running friends answers many questions and keeps motivation on a high level. In this episode of my podcast I talk mostly about my recent running experience and also some thoughts on what it is like to follow this plan. I'm only in the early stage yet and still learning but so far it has been great. Signing up to CTP seemes to have been the right thing for me to do to recapture my old habit. RtNP#83 Unstructured

1/18/2020
Hello, I'm back with another recording. Unfortunately this one is a bit unstructured and unfocused. I tried to improve the content when editing but I'm not sure I succeeded. I did cut out half an hour of talking about projects at work. You probably ought to thank me for that. Even I found that utterly boring. I hope that what remains in the audio is worth listening to. Some time have passed between recording and publishing this but I've been busy training. Yes training, as in running several times a week. You get a glimpse of why in this episode and more reports will follow in upcoming ones. RtNP#82 the Return

12/15/2019
Hi, everyone. I´m back. Sorry for being gone for such a long time. Hopefully things like running and podcasting will now slowly return to a more regular schedule. This was recorded on a walk on a grey day and will perhaps be a start in bringing back the old habits. I hope you still subscribe or I'll be really only talking to myself here... RtNP#81 Scared by Deer

7/6/2018
This time you can join me on a great summer run on both known and unknown narrow paths. For me this was one of the most enjoyable runs I've done in a long time. Hopefully this recording can transmit some of the good feelings to you aswell. Let´s run. RtNP#80 Turbulent Weeks

5/23/2018
Another episode with quite a long timespan between recording and publishing. The weather has changed a lot during this time and things I talk about as plans have already occured. Sorry about that but I didn't want to throw the recording away so here it is. If nothing else as a document of times passed. The birds I mentioned but didn't have the English name for were a Tofsvipa and the dictionary has several names for it but maybe Northern Lapwing would be something you recognize. At least if you live in Europe. They don't seem to exist elsewhere. The second one was a Gräsand - a Mallard and they are probably well known all over the northern hemisphere and maybe even in some parts of Australia. RtNP#79 Ten Years and Counting

3/17/2018
The timespan from recording to publishing is unusually long this time - sorry. It will all be explained in my next episode. Until then I hope you'll enjoy this one. This time I'll take you along for a run on the bikepath aswell as a run on dark roads. Two runs for the price of one in this anniversary episode. We will talk some about the fact that it is ten (10) years since I started podcasting and also a little about my running and my current situation. Pretty much the usual stuff. I hope you'll join me on my runs. RtNP#77 Half Streak

12/10/2017
Hello again, I'm back with another episode of this podcast. As usual the content is recorded on a run. It is somewhat unstructured and mostly about my own thoughts and current situation. No subjects of real importance are being discussed. For me, however, it is a chance to have a moment of chatting with good friends. Just as we would do if you were here running with me. Let's go for a run. RtNP#76 An Unstructured Update

11/1/2017
Here is a short update on my current situation. More audio will follow shortly. No need to panic, all is well, I just haven't been podcasting - or running. I'm slowly working my way back to both activities now. Intro music: Matthew Ebel - Lost My Way www.matthewebel.com Contact me by e-mail (address in link to the right) or post a comment below. RtNP#75 Timestreams

8/11/2017
In this episode you can hear me talk about a change of plans, a quick review of the backpack, my training and a few other things from my summer horizon. If you can hear me through the wind noise that is. This was recorded on a very windy day when I almost was blown off the trail. The audio also contains a few animal spottings. I hope you'll enjoy it. RtNP#73 New Paths

5/12/2017
Spring is slowly arriving here. In fact it seems to arrive slower than usual this year. My running and training is also a little slower than I would like at the moment but hopefully I'll be able to speed it up. In this episode I invite you to join me on an improvised expedition on new narrow paths with magical views. RtNP#71 Race Dreams

3/1/2017
Hi, remember me? It's been way too long since I uploaded something. I have had quite a few recording problems that unfortunately haven't been completely solved but here is, finally, a recording, or some of the audible parts from a recording. I hope the pieces left in here still makes sense. My running hasn't been that great over the winter but I guess I can't blame anything but a tight schedule and laziness for that. I'm determined to get back to the habit so hopefully this episode will be followed by another one rather soon. That's my plan anyway. This was recorded some time ago but I was unable to get the editing done until now. Sorry about the delay. RtNP#70 On a Dirt Road in Vermont

12/5/2016
This recording was done a year ago during my US running adventure journey tour, thing. I realize that I should have made it into a podcast episode long ago but as we sometimes do on facebook, share memories from a year ago, let me share this with you now, almost exactly a year later. The recording was done when visiting my dear friend Doug in Vermont and he generously shared his running roads with me. It is an honor to be aloud to share another runner's paths and I have been lucky to have had the opportunity to share quite a few now. All of them beautiful and special. And running with a good friend is, in my opinion, always special. Listening to this while editing the audio brought back so many great memories from my trip. For new followers I should probably explain that last year I went on a three week journey in the US and met up with friends in various places. Some friends I knew from earlier visits but many I had learnt to know through this podcast and other internet sites. The fact that we had never met before didn't matter at all. It sure is possible to make good friends on the web. I never got to produce a proper episode about the journey - sorry - but talked a little about it in RtNP#65 and I kept a travellog on facebook during the trip. Should anyone be interrested the audio could easily be reached but the facebook posts might be more difficult and would probably involve a lot of scrolling. I don't know if listening to this requires any more explanation. The previous week I had run a half marathon in Minneapolis, two days earlier Doug and I ran the Hot Chocolate 5k and the week after this recording was done I ran the Jeff Galloway 13,1. And in between I had time to do a few other runs with friends and also the opportunity to see and experience a lot. A fantastic journey and great memories. Now Doug and I invite you to run with us. Let's go. Intro music: Matthew Ebel - Lost My Way www.matthewebel.com Contact me by e-mail (address in link to the right) or post a comment below. RtNP#69 Maratona do Porto

11/20/2016
In this episode I talk mostly about running and racing and our recent trip to Portugal and the marathon I ran there. I realize that my talking is quite unstructured but that is perhaps not so unusual in this podcast. I hope you can follow the twists and turns between subjects. I really ought to script my podcasts. RtNP#68 Race Anxiety

10/25/2016
Another slightly longer episode this time. I hope you don't mind, you could always split your listening up if/when you get tired of my voice. This time you'll be listening to a somewhat nervous runner - nervous and maybe even a bit scared because he signed up for a race without being fully prepared for it. I have signed up for the Maratona do Porto on November the 6th and even though I fear the challenge I must admit that I'm also excited and think it will be a great adventure. Besides the race I talk scrappily about sound levels, books and weight. Dogs and geese are also mentioned, So if you are able to follow my ramblings you'll get quite a few subjects covered. RtNP#67 A New gps Watch

9/25/2016
We are now well into fall season here, days are getting shorter and nature are beginning to fade. It is in many ways a great time of year but I find the lack of daylight to be a difficult part. I miss the long light evenings. This episode is slightly longer than usual but maybe that's appropriate as I do talk about a marathon I did recently. Sorry if the editing isn't as well done this time, I haven't been able to put in as much time to it as I wanted to. In this episode I talk about a few ongoing projects besides running and about my new Garmin 230 which I probably will return to in upcoming episodes as I learn more about how to handle the watch. RtNP#66 Pebbles

7/3/2016
Summer has been great so far and even if my training for a fall marathon was set back a little, my running has also been great. In this episode there is a few reports on wildlife spottings and some of my race plans but as usual it is mostly random talking about not very important stuff. This was recorded on a mid summer leisure run that turned into a self imposed race challenge. The birds I talk about is: Kaja - Western Jackdaw wikipedia link Buskskvätta - Whinchat wikipedia link Intro music: Matthew Ebel - Lost My Way www.matthewebel.com Contact me by e-mail (address in link to the right) or post a comment below.
