Like it never went away

6/18/2020
The Premier League is back from its pandemic hiatus, and it's as if - for better or for worse - it never went away. Musa and Ryan discuss a ruthless Manchester City, a reassuringly predictable Arsenal, and the obligatory controversial VAR decision. They go to Germany to congratulate Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg Frauen on title triumphs, to Spain to assess what a fully-fit João Félix can do for Atlético Madrid, and to Italy to toast Napoli's first trophy in six years, a Coppa Italia triumph over Juventus. Finally, they drool over the late stages of the UEFA Champions League, particularly when it comes to the food, and then play out with 52nd Street. Quick disclaimer, Musa had to move into his kitchen due to some construction going on outside, in case you notice a change in sound! Weird crowd graphics and Rashford doing the work for others

6/15/2020
In this episode Musa and Ryan share a very special announcement. They also review the return of La Liga, marvel over Leo Messi and Toni Kroos, share their relief at Union Berlin's latest win and look at Bayern's march to an eighth straight Bundesliga title. They praise Marcus Rashford's political activism and criticise the double standards to which black people are held in public life, while lamenting the mistreatment of Paul Pogba and pop star Misha B. What if? (Volume 4 - To the chopper!)

6/9/2020
In this episode Musa and Ryan start off with some movie chat and quickly review the action in the Bundesliga, including a high-profile sacking and a high-profile transfer, before again delving into football's alternate universes with their latest "What If" podcast. Thanks to a typically brilliant set of listeners' questions, they ask themselves - among other things - what would have happened to Jose Mourinho had Porto not beaten Man Utd in 2004, if Raúl González and Ronaldo had teamed up at Atlético Madrid, if Ryan Giggs played for England, and if football clubs allowed players to be drafted and traded just like in the NBA. At the end Musa offers Ryan a lift back to the mainland on his helicopter after a fake footballing, and then - given that June is Pride Month and Black Music month, they play out with an outfit that is a celebration of both, the New York new wave duo Maxx Mann. The Rise of Kai-walker

5/25/2020
In this episode, Musa and Ryan, still in slight disbelief that the Bundesliga is actually back, assess the second weekend of games since the restart. They wonder at the rise of Kai Havertz, praise Julian Brandt and Alphonso Davies, the promising signs for Hertha and Augsburg and the worrying ones for Schalke. Also, there's a lot of Star Wars and whether or not fan noise should be used to cover up the echo of empty stadiums, before playing out with People in Control. 5/21/2020
In this episode, Musa and Ryan - fresh from their first meet-up for coffee in two months - discuss that mythical creature of the penalty area, 'the classic number nine' and go through some all-time greats from the men's game. With a big nod to the ever-brilliant Robert Lewandowski and an unexpected emphasis on Serie A, they look at the traits of the greatest to play this position. There's talk of Batistuta, Eto'o, Van Basten, Signori and more, plus a number of The Dark Knight Rises references before they play out on Harlem Spirit.
