Escapism Forms of positive escapism. Going to the movies, attending a concert, seeing live plays, trying out floatation tanks, attending a workout class, trying out a BDSM scene with an experienced player, taking a mini-retreat, going on a vacation. Negative escapism: Turning to substances (i.e. drugs and alcohol). Word of advice: Don't do it ! It's not worth it. Dating Put yourself out there. Give a dating app a shot.
