The first days of a vol biv from Haute Provence to Disentis (hopefully) remind me of the advantage of gliding over paragliding - a wider weather envelope! Like the first day with Jean Francois where winds were 20kt and thermals were chopped to bits with a fairly low cloud base but we happily flew for hours, always in glide of the airfield. The last week, a vol biv trip in fairly average weather. I didn't get a chance to mention how mad the Triglav turn point was, I'm so happy I managed to tag it by air in the 2017 Red Bull X-Alps, it's like you're surrounded by massive limestone walls, there's only the official launch, and the winds definitely aren't helpful!
